I liked how clean the rooms were. Check in was smooth. No major issues for me. The bed was so comfortable. Ac/heater worked. I was happy to be able to open the window for fresh air. Being able to take a bath was nice. I felt good being there as a solo traveler. The area was quiet. That's a plus!

Very nice little spot. Things were clearly labeled in the kitchen which was very helpful. Plenty of towels for our size family. Clear instructions upon leaving as well as a list of things to do in the area should you need it. Prompt responses from the hosts and overall and enjoyable stay! Super thankful for the kids toys! My kids had been in the car for a few days so having some toys to play with was a highlight for them!

Small town vibes, friendly people and all the nature! Fun brewery, botanical gardens and river walk area - check out the Mossbrea hotel! We did the waterfalls, went to Pipeline in Mt Shasta and relaxed at Cave Springs Resort. Not sure we can handle a YAKs burger - but it was packed every day!

If you’re there for fishing, you have the bait shop just a few blocks down and a river you can walk to in a few minutes. There’s a coffee shack half a block away that also serves breakfast (avocado toast, yogurt and a few other items. There are other restaurants within a short walking distance as well. I would definitely stay there again.

Very convenient place to stay to visit all the waterfalls at Burney, McCloud, Dunsmuir. Highly recommend to drive up to Panther Meadow for Mt Shasta Old Ski Bowl view. If into hiking, should hike Castle Dome trail at Castle Crags State park. It is gorgeous up there. Heart trail off Castle Lake is a must as well. Best to hike early morning to avoid the hot sun since both trails are full exposed at the end.

Dunsmuir is a ghost town.

Dunsmuir is a ghost town. It is a beutiful place with a river a waterfall, and a very charming town that is now a Ghost town. 90% of the business are boarded up and closed. It did have a great bakery and Hamburger place and the surrounding area is beautiful. but, a once charming downtown is no longer.

I've already reviewed Dunsmuir but you need to make sure your information on your website is more honest about the check-in process at the diner next door. It's fine if you get someone nice but we had grumpy and nice...very grumpy. Just saying it is 24 hr check in is not enough.

Dunsmuir is a charming city nestled in deep a valley of trees below the towering Shasta mountain. The people of Dunsmuir are some of the nicest folks in the country and know how to brew some delicious beer as well as cook up some delicious cuisine.

Sometimes, you need customer service beyond the normal. I had a late train in and out of Dunsmuir. The Angler Lodge's manager helped me a lot with my needs.
