The Ivey House was absolutely wonderful! Our room was so cozy and the perfect escape from Miami. It was so quiet at night - no traffic noises or bright lights. My only wish is that we could have stayed longer!

We stayed one night here on the way to the gulf coast and wanted to try an airboat ride. Everglades city is a sleepy sweet little old Florida town with friendly people and very peaceful. The room was very clean and comfortable. The 2 girls at the front desk at The Ivy house (where you have to check in) were very nice and helpful. We did a Captain Jacks' airboat ride and it was an amazing experience! We ate at The Cafe for lunch (very good) and heard live music at The Gator hole at night. Everyone is very nice in town, we enjoyed it.

Beautiful peaceful location on the water. Comfortable bed, clean and cozy. We spent the evening watching the water from the deck, which was covered so protected us from the rain storm.

It was a nice quiet rustic Hut at the edge of a swamp. Good for someone who wants to unplug from the world without trekking deep into the woods. Simple screen Hut offered shelter and privacy, and huts are spaced out enough to provide your own little private area. Heard gators nearby, saw a number of birds, utilized the fire pit to cook breakfast and dinner. Kind helpful staff. Lucked out with quiet, respectful neighbors.

The king size bed was really comfortable with nice sheets and comforter. The room is small but was nicely organized for you to enjoy the space and provide you with some of the comforts of home. The owner was friendly and informative the day before check in with last minute questions.

The real Florida, good honest hard working folk that really do make you welcome. There is just enough in the City to spend a day there, unless of course fishing, hunting or boating is your thing then it's a great base to stay longer. There are stores for supplies restaurants and cafes for food and a couple of pubs. We visited through Memorial day so some establishments were closed.

We loved Everglades City because of the history and location to the attractions in the area. We visited the Smallwood Museum, Rod and Gun Club, The Loop Road Scenic Drive, and Skunkape Headquarters. We had to cut our visit short due to a medical reason. But already looking forward to coming back soon.

Stayed in Everglades city for the Airboats/ Wootens . Did have a good lunch at City Seafood with shrimp basket. Accommodation/motels not so great here and overpriced for standard. Wootens Airboats Tours/Bog Hopper etc. was a great day / experience. Worth the travel for this experience.

Everglades City is on the west side of THE EVERGLADES & Big Cypress Swamp. It is a charming small city that is very convenient to travelers wishing to visit this area and appreciate the vast beauty of Florida's unique EVERGLADES eco-systems, plants, and animal habitats. There are several Hotels & Motels. We also saw a lovely modern camp ground.

Everglades City is a quirky place.

Everglades City is a quirky place. If you love fishing this place is for you!. We took a boat ride and saw tons of dolphins. Visited the small store and the local museum. We have lived in Miami for 34 years and this was our first visit to Everglades City. A must see. Also visited Clyde Butcher's art museum, just 20 minutes from the hotel. Some of the best Stone Crabs I ever had (Everglades City is know for their Stone Crabs - Season in Florida is from October to May).

The accomodation was very good: a large living room with a sofa bed and TV, a well appointed kitchen, a bedroom and pleasant bathroom. Possibly the best part was the terrace at the back overlooking the river/lake. This was enclosed by mosquito screens so that we were able to to sit out there and eat the takeaway pizza that we bought nearby. The rooms were very clean and looked very new. The place was very peaceful and relaxing. We would certainly return.

Very helpful and friendly staff and service. Room was ok and what we expected for what we paid. Access to activities and booking available at the hotel with reasonable prices. We went kayaking and then airboat riding. There’s an alligator demonstration and the gators and other animals seemed well cared for. Was surprised to see 2 tigers there. I’m interested in their history and am finding out more.
