We were there to watch our grandson play in the

florida High school baseball championship game (his team won). The facilities at the Twins Spring Training Complex were excellent. We also visited the Edison/Ford Estate complex which we enjoyed and ate at three very nice restaurants - Two were near the hotel. The Fort Myers area is geographically large and you need a GPS device to navigate.

Ate at the Waffle House by my hotel on Indian Paint Ln. Big mistake. I ordered a chicken burger which ended up having part of it under cooked. Makes me shiver just thinking about when I bit into it. The waitress was very gracious & I didn't have to pay for the burger. Because I was only staying one night, it really put a bad vibe on the rest of my stay. And killed my appetite. That was the only bad experience I have had in Ft Myers. Won't ever go back to Waffle House anywhere.

We liked the Delnor Wiggins State park.
We liked the Delnor Wiggins State park. The beach was beautiful and there were plenty of shells for the kids to pick. We also liked the Miramar Outlets. There are a ton of places to eat! Bahama Breeze is definitely a favorite! The Edison & Ford Winter Estates is cool to visit, the Naples Zoo and the IMAG history and science center. It's family friendly. The downside is going during "winter bird" season because there is a ton of traffic.

I am writing to lodge a formal complaint regarding my recent stay booked through Booking.com (reservation number: 6817769376).
The accommodation was materially not as advertised on your platform. Upon arrival and throughout my stay, I experienced the following issues:
The property did not match the description or expectations set by the listing.
The hotel staff were rude, dismissive, and unhelpful when concerns were raised.
Most significantly, the noise levels throughout the night were excessive and continuous, making it impossible for me to sleep at all during my stay.
Despite attempting to address these issues directly with hotel staff, no meaningful assistance or resolution was provided. As a result, the accommodation failed to meet basic standards of comfort and suitability for an overnight stay.
Given that the property was not as advertised and that the conditions rendered the stay unfit for its intended purpose, I am requesting a full refund for this booking.
Please let me know if you require any additional information or documentation to process this complaint. I look forward to your prompt response and a fair resolution.

There is no longer an ON season, or OFF season here. Traffic and apartment/condos are being built at an unsustainable rate.
It's a shame, but what many of us knew and loved about the area for so long, that depending on the time of year, this place was paradise,
has forever changed and not for the better.
Overpopulation ,can't take away the breathtaking beauty of Fort Myers. The taste of freshly caught fish will always be world-class here.
I don't do Fort Myers Beach much these days, as the traffic will crush you if you don't get started early, and I'm not convinced it has recovered from Hurricane Ian. But ,it should still be fun to stay on the beach and enjoy the Gulf. Take a jet ski or Parasol ride, you will never forget it! Naples Beach is better quality sand and the pier is rebuilt-not so at FMB.
I have been coming to Fort Myers for more than 60 years, seen it continue to grow, and knew that if I loved it, so would many thousands more discover and love it.
Stay at the nicest place you can afford, enjoy downtown Fort Myers,,while you can still get a table at a reasonable hour, especially seated outdoors at any of the interesting restaurants and people watch.
Avoid The Down Town House of Pizza, unless you like your pizza extra greasy, very average and overpriced. Capone's Coal Fired Pizza is in the same area and SO much better. Ford's Garage is another fun place to eat a great burger and people watch.The "Sip and Sizzle" is new to downtown, haven't been there,but it looks fabulous! A new Italian place is open and Bruno's of Brooklyn, my long time fav., family owned Italian Restaurant, has opened a beautiful new place in the heart of downtown! You will love this restaurant and the family that owns it!

I visit Ft.
I visit Ft. Myers to see relatives, but I don't find it particularly appealing. It has really grown in the past 15 years, and I find the traffic on the major roads to be worse and worse. Still, there are pluses- the beaches are nice, Ford -Edison museum is interesting, and the downtown area has things to see & do.
