I was a little nervous honestly from reading previous reviews, but it was a good room for the price. Comfortable and was clean for the most part. Didn’t hear too much noise from neighbors

What Guests Said About Kinston:

Nice little downtown area with quaint shops and restaurants.

Nice little downtown area with quaint shops and restaurants. On the weekends, a lot of places are closed. Many of the restaurants close at 6pm on weekdays. Had dinner at La Mariachi which was delicious and more than we could eat. Everything was withing walking distance from the hotel we were staying. Visited the brewery briefly. Went to the CSS Neuse museum. Went to the Wildlife Center but the timing for the planetarium did not work for us. We stayed at Mother Earth Motor Lodge which had shuffleboard, bikes for rent, table tennis and putt-putt. Did not try the pool.

The food was great and the people were friendly.

The food was great and the people were friendly. The town had some great areas but the down town was a ghost town alot of empty buildings. The churches were everywhere so no matter your religion you could go to church. The historical information was easy to find.

I love how Kinston is updating the city, providing music, art and small town Love but just enough to feel like your not missing any big town needs. However a little more shopping choices are needed. Would love to see Kinston providing outside shopping between Kinston and NewBern NC, which would support Jones county, Pink Hill, Kinston, etc. And the beach goers with in-between shopping needs and a feel that eastern nc is GROWING and providing for their small towns and bring more visitors to our side of home country LOVE!

When I arrived I was greeted by my card had declined, I told her I had already paid in advance. She cancelled it and reenter it and then messed up everything. then I end up giving her another card. Then I was charged twice . I was charged on both card. Then the elevator did not work the entire stay.

We have been coming to Kingston for over 20 years.

We have been coming to Kingston for over 20 years. We have enjoyed seeing the changes downtown and all the old favorites and new restaurants and shops. The Mother Earth Taproom is an always stop. We have met many new friends there. Sugar Hill Pizza is great. The Laughing Owl is a good place for dinner. We love Lovick’s Cafe for breakfast. The CSS Neuse Civil War Interpretive Center is a must do.

We came to Kinston to dine at the Chef and the Farmer—-which was amazing! We had an excellent breakfast at Lovick’s Cafe the next morning. It was a pretty small city. We only stayed one day but found shopping & navigating around town really easy. All the food we ate there was superb. We will definitely return.

Everything from check-in to checkout. The room was nice, clean and quiet. The staff was very personable and helpful. Breakfast was great and every staff member I encountered provided excellent service. I believe Gabriel helped me with checkout and it was very easy. I'll stay there again and would recommend the Fairfield (Marriott Bonvoy), to anyone looking for that type information.

The only negative was booking the hotel again for another night and it was accepted. Upon arrival I was told there were no rooms. I was supposed to receive a voucher for another room free of cost and never did. Please contact me at 827-964-5091 if this can be corrected. Thanks, Jim McCall
