For some reason I expected some waterfalls somewhere, but there aren't any - ha ha! A bit like a place called "Lookout" which is not actually a lookout - you live and learn, need to do more research on future road trips in the states.

Stayed in Klamath Falls for a visit to Crater Lake. Was the most convent location to the Park. Enjoyed going to the Crater Lake Ziplines Klamath Falls has a lot of fast food and pubs, but hard time trying to find a little better upscale restaurant.

Nothing I did not have what I needed at hotel 6.

Nothing I did not have what I needed at hotel 6. No fridge, microwave, or coffee pot. Bad lobby coffee. I was on 2nd floor coffee was downstairs. No elevator. I have MS hard to walk. Other guests were complaining for the same reason. Thin awful blanket on bed hardly any linens. One bar of soap only.

I was born there and raised in Sprague Rive and Chiloquin.

I was born there and raised in Sprague Rive and Chiloquin. At first glance there doesn't seem to be much to see around there but there is really so much beauty there it is incredible. I love going back once in a while and remembering all the good times I had as a youth. Go check out the Klamath Lake basin. From Crater Lake south to the California border, the west side drive of Klamath lake all the way east to the high desert has so much beauty. Ask the locals. They can tell you about all kind of gems to see that aren't obvious.

We are very familiar with the Klamath Basin having previously lived there for over 30 years. It's fun to see friends, visit local eateries ( especially the Klamath Grill - great breakfasts - try the sourdough pancakes!) We always enjoy the scenery - lakes, mountains and farm fields. It feels like home and staying at the Days Inn felt like being cared for like family.

Don't go on a Monday or Tuesday if you want to go to any museums. they are all closed. Also check the restaurant to ensure they are actually open. It's a nice enough town, but not really a "destination". It's more of a stopover for visiting Crater Lake, or heading to someplace else. The area is quite beautiful though.

I love the older style, more traditional, smaller hotels. They are usually family run and the cleanliness and service are fantastic. We loved Golden West. It's not fancy, but the owners do lots of little things to make it stand out. Great in-room coffee, fresh flowers, and helpful owners on site. We loved it.
