Loved the details that made the themes of the hotel stand out. Someone had a great vision and did a fantastic job seeing it through. Breakfast dining area with balcony with fabulous. Full breakfast, comfortable beds, smart tv and beautiful decor.

Everything, the host, was very helpful. The room was clean and cozy. Everything in the room worked. It was the perfect location for us to shop ,eat,and have a fun night out on New years eve.

Our stay at Madras was wonderful!

Our stay at Madras was wonderful! The bed was comfortable with plenty of room in the bedroom. We swam in their lovely, well maintained pool. Our breakfast was good and we didn’t have to worry about getting hungry too soon. The staff was friendly as well as helpful! I would stay at this hotel again as well as recommend it to my family and friends!

There is not much to do in Madras.

There is not much to do in Madras. There is a good park to walk around - wish we discovered it day one for our morning walks. Madras however is a good central location to visit the Ka-nee-ta spa and hot springs nearby. The other direction takes you to Bend and you can spend lots of time there. Madras is only 2 hours to the airport. The area is very scenic with plenty of opportunity to hike and view overlooks and the sunset is beautiful.

We came for the Air Show of the Cascades.

We came for the Air Show of the Cascades. We came early arriving Wednesday August 20th and spent 2 nights then checked into our time share at Eagle Crest Friday evening. We enjoyed a movie while in Madras. The Safeway is very convenient and there are a good number of gas stations. We did not eat at any local restaurants this time but have eaten at Black Bear Diner numerous times and enjoyed it.

Nice stopping point from our house in California to our daughters in Idaho. Great little town, plenty of restaurants, stores, hotels and other businesses. Convenient to Bend, the gorge, camping, mountains and fun towns going toward the coast.

Madras is one of those places you stay while on your way to...

Madras is one of those places you stay while on your way to somewhere else - I don't feel like it is a destination as much as a stopover. It's challenging to find a good restaurant here, most are merely "adequate". There is nothing really to "do" in Madras proper, although it is reasonably close to good hiking, good skiing (in season), boating and water skiing, and hunting. The area - central Oregon on the whole - is largely devoid of cultural amenities and is a disappointment to a sophisticated traveler looking for fine dining, live theater, or quality musical performances. This area runs more to rodeo, bar & grill country music and sports bars.

The King bed room was comfortable with a couch and desk. The bed was comfortable. We used the refrigerator and microwave to heat up meals we had brought. The breakfast was excellent, and the ambience of the lobby and dining room is very grand. We chose this hotel because we had stayed here before and it is close to the Polka Dot Agate Mine where we dug large thunder eggs. It is also a short jaunt to Smith Rock State Park.
