Easy access, right on the main road in town, but quiet cause it is a small town. Very hip decor. Near everything we planned to see in Marfa. Very comfy, with everything we needed. Good temp control, had nice clean bathroom, a kitchen with mini fridge and basic cooking stuff. The sofa was particularly comfy. There was a book that described the history & making of the building which was super interesting. Alex, the host, messaged us lots of restaurant recs (Marfa has top notch places to eat) and ideas of things to do in town and in Big Bend.

The space was modern and beautiful and the location was perfect. Situated just outside of town, it offers plenty of privacy but isn't too far from all of the attractions. The landscape is wonderful and the night skies are spectacular.

Marfa was wonderful.

Marfa was wonderful. As in any new place, we found that local people respond well to kind curiosity and courtesy. They feel very proud of their town and whether they were born here or, as is often the case, came from other parts of the world, fell in love and stayed, they want to share their love of Marfa and everything it offers, including it's own local magic, world-class art, and access to beautiful and extraordinary parts of Texas and the Southwest. Don't treat it or the people as if Marfa is only a stepping stone on your journey to natural beauty, or as if the locals are your personal museum guides. Do ask what they love and how you can get to know why they love it! You will feel very welcome. Everything we saw of the local restaurants and accommodation options, it seemed you can't go wrong!

Marfa is a fantastic place for anyone trying to get out of...

Marfa is a fantastic place for anyone trying to get out of the city, visit the desert southwest, spend some time in a remote location with an artistic flair. It also has one of the best coffee shops I've ever been to -- The Sentinel is legit!

Marfa is so cool, It exceeded my expectations.

Marfa is so cool, It exceeded my expectations. Actually I don’t what I was expecting but it wasnt that. I can't wait to go back. It's such an artsy and cool place. the food is great, the energy is different and I love the weather there. I think there's so much to do around marfa, you can stay in Alpine, Fort Davis, big Bend. Of course who can forget the famous Prada Store museum? Loved it we ate at the waterstop, yummy and the sentinel for coffee/breakfast

Marfa is such a cute town. It was our second visit.

Marfa is such a cute town. It was our second visit. I definitely recommend Chinati if you like art. The Donald Judd exhibit was amazing. The history of the site is also interesting. It was a Nazi POW work camp. So the juxtaposition of the clean lines and interesting art of Judd in a site that had such a disturbing original use was interesting. Also the lines of the building with the lines of the works and then the windows to the landscape beyond was fantastic. I'd see the outdoor works last visit, but I like the indoor even more. The shops and galleries in town were super cute. We ate at a great restaurant (James Beard nominee in Marfa), had coffee in a lovely coffee shop and lunch in a great sandwich place. And of course, Prada Marfa is worth a pic on your way out of town!

Just staying part of a day and overnight.

Just staying part of a day and overnight. Enjoyed the bagels at Aster Marfa and lunch at Angels. Both were small intimate restaurants with good food. Very quaint but not fancy. Friendly atmosphere of locals and tourists.

I would not recommend a trip to Marfa unless there is a...

I would not recommend a trip to Marfa unless there is a specific interest in something there. They have a music festival in September(?)each year. The town is kind of a failed art experiment. Food and service at the Hotel Paisano was great. A great Dairy Queen. You can see everything you want to see in half a day tops.
