Outstanding vacation home -- well appointed, modern and very clean. This home had everything. We wanted to nothing. Grill, TV, firepit, two coffee pots, dishes, silverware, paper towels, sheets & blankets, lots of pillows, etc. Only 15 minutes from stores and a gas station, less than 1 mile from the Route 66 bike trail, and just a short drive to Cook Forest and Clear Creek State Parks.

If you love the great outdoors, you'll love Marienville.

If you love the great outdoors, you'll love Marienville. Excellent restaurants, especially Sportsman's Paradise. What a gem. Unassuming from the outside, but what a delight when you step inside. Newly remodeled and very clean. Excellent menu, fast & friendly service, and superb staff. Rode the Route 66 bike trail from Vowinckel to Lucinda. Excellent trail. Also, enjoyed riding River Road at Cook Forest from Rt 36 to Rt 899. Can't go wrong going to Cousin Basils for lunch or dinner. They have excellent food and great service. Don't forget to enjoy the hiking trails, but take some insect repellant to avoid the ticks.
