The room was super nice, the common areas were great to sit in. We spent a lot of time by the fire and on the balcony area of the lobby. The pool was amazing and we had so much fun enjoying the swimming. Location was awesome, very close to nice restaurants and downtown area. Wasn't a huge fan of the breakfast, but it wasn't really a main part of our trip anyway. We had a great time overall!

The host was very nice and accommodating. The house was beautiful with a lot of extras. Breakfast was amazing and she asked us what kind of food we would like the night before. I would absolutely stay here again.

Monroe is a cute town with a beautiful old courthouse in the center. I like that its set up in a square. Easy walking, and friendly shop owners. We wanted to do a Minhaus brewery and distillery tour but the tours weren't running. Unfortunately, their website didn't state that. Apparently their Facebook did, but I counted on their website to have accurate information. I dont think a lot of people use Facebook to plan trips, perhaps I'm wrong on that count. Good thing New Glarus Brewery isn't that far away. Their brewery was nice. Vince's Restaurant was good, and we did go to the Blue Ox the morning we checked out, for Breakfast, (since we couldn't take our hotels breakfast for a 3rd day). The service was great! The Ratzkellar Restaurant in the Turner Club has a Friday Fish Fry and affordable chocolate martini's. You also can't go wrong with Pancho and Lefty's (make a reservation or be prepared to wait). There were several fast food options as well. Don't miss out on the Swiss Colony store for some yummy treats!

Alp and Dell cheese store is a must stop for us. i have been coming there for more than 25 years. Swiss Colony outlet store features food (cheese and sweets), clothing, and many other items. Vince’s Restaurant is a very good Italian spot for pizza and pasta.

We enjoyed the Italian restaurant Vincent's near our motel and the town square had interesting shops and very friendly shop owners. The cheese shop was amazing and we want to go again soon to visit more of the retail shops and visit some more local towns!

Monroe is a great little town.

Monroe is a great little town. It's still small enough to be fairly safe. You can walk the parks in the late evening with no concern for your safety. The downtown shops are manned by people overflowing with small town kindness.
