Clean! No bugs! Very quiet and peaceful atmosphere! Management was very professional and friendly! I'll say again, clean, no bugs! Comfortable beds! Enjoyed seeing some local wildlife late at night. Will definitely stay there again and recommend to others!

We very much enjoyed the Mayberry Museum and the Museum of...

We very much enjoyed the Mayberry Museum and the Museum of the Siamese Twins! The director at the Siamese Twins Museum went above and beyond with extra information and with extra things for us to see! We viewed the sights connected with the Andy Griffith TV Show and did a little shopping. I also ate a sonker (similar to a cobbler) which is unique to the area. Don't expect too much from the sightseeing trip unless you add going to Pilot Mountain, hiking, etc.

Mt Airy is a small town that is growing and changing for the better. Shopping downtown is always fun. They are proud that Andy Griffith lived in the area and his show was their town. His museum is nice, and the museum downtown is nice. It talks about the history of the town it is well done and fun to learn about the town. Getting around the town is easy. There are lots of places to eat downtown and away from town. They have many events in the year that are always fun to attend. The 4th of July parade is patriotic and fun to see the street lined on both sides with people that have brought their own chairs to sit and watch the parade. The fireworks are also fun.

Did the squad car tour...very good driver and information.

Did the squad car tour...very good driver and information. Also did local restaurants and walked the historic main street. We enjoyed the scenery and attractions as we grew up watching the Andy Griffith show. Fun to see the replicas of the show.

Obviously the main draw for me was the connection with the Andy Griffith Show. Very interesting places to visit. The courthouse and jail replica was free of charge. (Donations appreciated) Wally's gas station offered many items for sale.

Overall we had a very pleasant stay.

Overall we had a very pleasant stay. The check in was great and Alma was very pleasant and friendly. Our room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast the next morning had a decent selection of hot food which was very good. I would stay at this hotel again if we traveled back to the area.

This is a basic no-frills hotel. I stay there every time I drive to/from Florida/NYC, it is the exact halfway point. Although I call it "basic no frills"; they do offer breakfast. The people that work here are friendly and accommodating The room is clean and the beds are comfortable. It is an older motel but extremely well cared for and CLEAN! It is the perfect place for an overnight stay when driving through I-77 (easy off and on) and the price is right!

The hotel was very clean, the staff was very attentive.it was dated.small stains on the carpet and a tear in the couch arm. It wasn't perfect but it was clean and comfortable. We slept well.good firm mattress. Air conditioning was fine. I would stay there again.the pool was nice

The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was very clean. It’s located just off the interstate and about 8 miles from Mount Airy. There is a nice pool. The bed was comfortable.
