United StatesThe hotel is beautifull. Lobby is very clean, comfortable and inviting, with modern conveniences for laptops and cell phones. Our rooms were spacious. Especially the king with sofa bed. Definitely recommend that choice. The pool was clean and just the right temperature. Breakfast was great with a special applause to the staff and cinnamon rolls. This hotel is the nicest one a I have stated in for the past 5 years!

I have always loved Mt Vernon.
I have always loved Mt Vernon. The only bad part was all the road construction going on! I know one day it will be well worth it though!We ate at the Aisaian Buffett over by Kroger and we also ate at Denny’s . Both places were excellent!

If you're not from here or working here, this is a drive thru town. Get gas and get gone. If you are staying the night there are plenty of restaurants to choose from so that is ok. otherwise there are no main attractions here.

Mount Vernon was fine - the Motel 6 was terrible.
Mount Vernon was fine - the Motel 6 was terrible. We should have paid extra for a nicer place but since we were just driving through we wanted to save money. We had supper at a BBQ place just up the road from the motel and the food and service were good. Bandana’s BBQ I believe was the name of it. The negative there was they were out of everything - no brisket, turkey, or ribs. Our choices were chicken and sausage. Then our waitress came back to say they were out of chicken! This was at 7 pm on a Monday night! And they were not even crowded - somebody dropped the ball in the planning department. So over all next time we come through here we will just keep driving.

Quick overnight stay was comfortable & pleasant. Very quiet, staff was efficient & very accommodating. This was not our first time staying in Mt Vernon, we pass through every year. Convenient location for travelers.

Pro: Great Barbeque restaurant walking distance, Decent breakfast in lobby, working TV, Lots of parking, located just off freeway exit.
Con: Horrible staff who apparently have little training on computer system - refused to try to find my reservation and then overcharged me when I left. Room smelled like urine, carpets were so dirty if you walked barefoot on them your feet turned black.
Never again!!!

to start we had brough food /drinks with no frig(was surpose to have) cups in room dirty, pool ice cold water, whirlpool ,good 1st day , 2nd night not work..
phone in room was dirty and dint work, so if we needed anything we had to go downstairs and no ice maker on floor not work....
i think thats all i want to say

There were many options for breakfast. It was the typical hotel breakfast however they did serve more than just waffles. The options included gravy and biscuits. The room was clean, it was quiet, and the staff was friendly and professional.

There's a huge open space directly behind hotel where my dog can run.

After traveling all day it was so nice to just be able to stay at the hotel for “dinner” and not have to go to a restaurant. Added bonus was being able to enjoy a drink or two. Nice breakfast also.
