Fantastic location, equidistant between Blanchard Springs Caverns and Mountain View. The ‘cabin’ is a newish building, a funky little modern mountain chalet. There are four units in the building, with two adjoining units sharing a laundry room. Each unit is a loft with lots of light and space, nice mix of colours and materials (blue and white paint, natural wood). The furniture and furnishings (stools, tables etc.) are 'designy' - unique and interesting. Unlike so many vacation rentals these days, the unit was provided with all the kitchen (pots, pans, towels) and bath (towels etc.) amenities we could ask for. Outside, the colorful facade (green, yellow, red) and broad balconies frame a pristine view of the White River Valley. Even the fire pit is quite a cool and unique modern alpine design. With the wood wet, we watched the fireflies instead.

We love Mountain View and have been multiple times!

We love Mountain View and have been multiple times! The area, the people, the shopping all are great. We like going to the Square on Friday and Saturday nights in the summer and seeing the bands play. We love to eat at the Rainbow Cafe down by the Square. The food is great and the people are so friendly.

WE HAD A WONDERFUL TIME. THERE IS MUCH TO SEE AND DO IN MT. VIEW AND SURROUNDING AREA. GOOD RESTERAUNTS, GREAT SHOPPING. GREAT MUSIC. WONDERFUL SCENERY, BLANCHARD SPRINGS IS A MUST, HORSEBACK RIDING. HIKING. FUN, FUN! THE LOCALS ARE SO NICE AND FRIENDLY!

Beautiful Ozark mountain town with very friendly people.

Beautiful Ozark mountain town with very friendly people. Blanchard Springs Caverns and the Ozark Folk Center are a short drive away. Friday nights you'll find lots of locals playing music on front porches all around town and dancing on a large dance floor in front of the County Courthouse. There are several good restaurants all around town, too! The White River is a short drive away for boating and fishing.

If you want to enjoy life at a slower pace and enjoy shopping (antiques, boutiques, musical instruments) or enjoy nature and the arts Mountain View should be on your list of places to check out. For fantastic breakfast or plate lunches packed with comfort food and friendly service stop in at PJ'S Rainbow Cafe on the square. If pizza is your favorite you will be hard pressed to find a tastier pie or calzone than what they are serving at Tommy's Famous. There are rivers and creeks to fish in, swim in, and you can stay in a cozy cabin right on Sylamore Creek. For seafood you need to check out Anglers Resort restaurant. There are several festivals held here and from spring until late fall if you drive through town you'll hear the best bluegrass picking right on the square. Plus you just can't beat the scenery!

Absolutely a wonderful place!

Absolutely a wonderful place! There is so much to do, from nature to shopping, exploring and more. Resturants are great and everyone there is so nice and helpful! This sweet town has that Mayberry feel - safe, serene and super involved community with free events and things to do. It is a Dry County so if you like alcohol BYOB. There is only two places to find it - one is a resturant and the other the State Park. Definitely budget friendly and a great place to vacation or even live!

Such a relaxing trip even though it was short.

Such a relaxing trip even though it was short. This was a spontaneous little trip and we didn't realize we would be there at the culmination of Old Time Music and Dance Camp so we did not get to hear music on the square like we had anticipated, but we were able to sit in our lawn chairs with a cool breeze and no mosquitoes and watch dozens of kids demonstrate their square dancing skills on the court square. We did venture over to the park and were able to enjoy some folk music jam sessions and we hit all the thrift and specialty shops on Saturday before heading back home. It was a wonderfully relaxing time.

A nice, family owned motel that met our needs for one over night stay. Older bed, furniture and utilities. The guy at the front desk was sloppy looking and I was uncomfortable checking in. After settling in for the night we were pleased with the bed and quiet time they established throughout the park. The town of Mountain View is small and there is no big name hotels, so we had limited choices of hotels/motels. I am glad that we chose this motel.

Lovely view from porch, especially sunset. On edge of mountain view but within easy reach of amenities and central area Room and bed clean and spacious. Nice bathroom. Staff friendly and helpful. Good value

I loved the location. It was isolated and quiet without being too far from Mountain View. There is a walking trail down to the river, and the lawn is well-maintained. Even had wood available for a campfire.
