Front desk staff were always very kind and accommodating. Did not get a chance to try out the breakfast offered but it looked like a nice variety of food. Would have liked to pick up a red apple, they only had green.

I have never stayed in a Motel 6 that has been that nice and clean. Our tv remote didn't work Called it wasn't 5 minutes they brought new remote and had it working. The bed was really comfortable.

The young people at the front desk they were so welcoming inviting so unlike the motel 6 on on the south side on the south side of town they're older ladies and they're rude and their hostile and they're prejudice but these these kids are great and I made me feel good they help me get in they didn't rush me out I loved every minute I'm at the manager at Christmas party he was wonderful too Pete

Nacogdoches is a wonderful getaway with the perfect blend of historic charm, natural beauty, and a relaxed, welcoming vibe. Favorite Spots & Activities: Strolling through Historic Downtown along the red brick streets was a highlight, with all its local boutiques, antique shops, and local art galleries. We also loved walking through the lush trails at the Ruby M. Mize Azalea Garden and SFA Mast Arboretum. In the evening, grabbing a craft beer at Fredonia Brewery was a great way to unwind. Where We Ate: Dining at Clear Springs Restaurant in its historic building is a must for fried catfish and southern comfort food. For breakfast, Dolli’s Diner right on the Downtown Square served fantastic pancakes and coffee. Getting Around: Navigating town is straightforward and hassle-free. Historic Downtown is very walkable, and parking throughout the area is simple and accessible. It is an ideal destination for a relaxing couple’s trip—filled with history, vibrant gardens, and great East Texas hospitality!

Oldest incorporated town in the U.S[part of New Spain and a gathering place for rebels against Mexico] Sam Houston, among others, lived here. Nicely marked historical trail downtown. .Plenty of antique shoppes and restaurants, though a little heavy on the fried food. STEPHEN F. AUSTIN UNIVERSITY located here.. Like many towns in Texas that have discovered their past and live in the present plus plan for the future, is booming. Great place for retirees, artists of all mediums, and growing families!

We were there to learn about the first city in Texas.

We were there to learn about the first city in Texas. Lots of history. Great Visitor Center Museum, Milliard's Crossing, Adolphus Stern's Home Museum, Stone Fort and a great huge historic cemetery where the early Texas settlers are buried. We arrived on a a Tuesday afternoon and departed on Thursday morning.

Handicap room did not have any bars around toilet and only 1 bar to get in and out of shower. No shampoo or body cleaners, did have bar of soap. Room price good. Only real complaint was lack of bars, so did not shower, except with wash cloth and soap. Loved the courtyard there. There were all kinds of restaurants close by the motel and a coffeepot in the room. The funeral home was right up the street, got around town easily.

Stayed in a double room with pool view. I like the history of the hotel and that some of the hotel was left the way it was when built. There's a coffee maker in the room (sadly, with just two caffeinated coffee pods - I looked for someone to ask whether I could get two more but there was no one at the reception with just a number to call, but it wasn't exactly an emergency so I didn't bother). The room was clean. Breakfast was great, beds were comfy.

Rooms were modern, bright, airy and exceptionally clean. All of the staff encountered were friendly and helpful. Plenty of well lit parking. We stayed on the 2nd floor and it was very quiet. I would not hesitate to stay here again if returning to Nacogdoches.

I chose the Fredonia Hotel based on a Lonely Planet recommendation, describing it as a renovated yet retro 1955 hotel in the historic center. While the location is convenient and parking is straightforward, the positive aspects end there.
