The location is gorgeous, right on the river... has a great restaurant with wonderful vibe right next door ("Treasure Camp"). It's a bit off the beaten path of main part of Chiefland, but very relaxing setting. I don't fish or have a boat, but would be excellent retreat for those purposes. It's great even if you don't do those things. It was quiet and I felt safe. I appreciated that it was dog friendly, but the pet fee was kind of pricey (about a hundred dollars extra with tax)

The town was shut down due to the hurricane this was an emergency situation the motel lost power and staff was left clueless by owners about the generator and how to use it or if it worked. Otherwise it was a nice place to stay.

The management and staff were very pleasant.

The management and staff were very pleasant. The motel was filthy. Trash on the sidewalk in front of the room next to us. Trash behind the motel. My wife had to buy a spray bottle of Clorox to clean the bathroom, furniture, and floors. Advertised as a marina, there was no boat ramp only a dock. That's not a marina.
