Onancock is a beautiful little town.

Onancock is a beautiful little town. We enjoyed our stay there. We found several very nice shops in the downtown area and enjoyed shopping there for unique gifts. We ate at the Blarney Stone and have been several times before. It is a great restaurant with good food and excellent service. We also ate at Mallards and were not impressed with it. We ate outdoors and it was next door to a loud, noisy gravel yard where trucks were constantly being loaded. Also, we had bits of shell in the crab cakes. All in all, the town is a great place to visit and we would recommend taking time to

The friendliness of shopkeepers and restaurants.

The friendliness of shopkeepers and restaurants. I had a Zoom meeting I had to attend and a shopkeeper allowed me to use her wifi to attend (it was a Tuesday and drizzly--business was slow). I had a wonderful lunch at On Tap and purchased over 100 dollars of goods from small boutiques in the village, I was sorry the antiques and consignment store had closed before I left my Zoom meeting!

nice historic area, very walkable with lovely architecture and grounds. Right outside of town are the more usual suspects ( Walgreens, Wally world, etc ) but in town are the small shops, restaurants, pubs etc. Post office right on market street downtown. Nice wharf area too. Quiet and nice place to hang in the off season.

Perfect , friendly, quite, historic location.

Perfect , friendly, quite, historic location. Multiple day trips less than 1 hour away for excursions that range from winery tours , fresh farmer's markets , guided fishing trips or a ferry ride to a isolated community on a disappearing Tangier Island . Perfect vacation spot that just may turn into your next residence!

We loved our stay at the Inn .

We loved our stay at the Inn . Kim and Matt are a very welcoming hosts. We loved the happy hour where Kim had us all on the outside patio for refreshments and meeting the other guests. The Inn is very clean an inviting. The breakfast was amazing and was very engaging since we met everyone at the happy hour. Kim is an excellent cook. We loved our stay especially the porch.
