We loved watching the snow in the morning over the river. We saw a huge bald eagle❤. It's a beautiful place to stay.

Just one wonderful friendly small town.

Just one wonderful friendly small town. I don't know, but the farmland around it, the hiking, and the places to visit all within thirty minutes made this the perfect home base. I loved it, especially being a country boy who lives in the city. This felt like home. The staff at Sledgehammer, Melissa and Jason, are top notch people and they do line dancing and karaoke into the night most nights. Do not be afraid if you are of a more liberal/ city mindset. Remember that we all share the same values in the end, and these people are amazing, friendly people who will open up to you and invite you in for supper if you open up to them. I mean this literally, it happened.

You can check that out on Google maps, I, personally upload...

You can check that out on Google maps, I, personally upload some pictures from the town and many other places around. It is not the classic place for vacations. However, many activities are found during the year. Nice place to be. Lots of hiking spots and outdoor activities. The Restaurant in the Annex to Paddle Wheel, is big enough to have a ballroom dance. Good cooking. (Also reviewed in Goggle maps). One thing is very noticeable: no supercenters or any other common convenience stores in Oregon. So, you will end up going to Rockford. If you are comfortable with few stuff you can get at small stores there. Well, you'll be okay.
