We have stayed here in the past when we booked the whole hotel for our wedding party 23 years ago, so it holds a special place in our hearts. The remodeling that has been done is spectacular, it still has the old charm but is cleaner and a bit more modern. Our room was comfortable with great amenities and there’s not a detail unthought of! We enjoyed the company of Raven, the owner, and other locals in The Pouring Parlor when we turned from dinner. Raven is such a delight to visit with and her customer service was excellent!

Didnt have to worry about parking since stayed at hotel and did not have to drive anywhere. Beds were comfortable. Second night stayed in king size bed on main street and it was loud but good band. First night stayed towards middle and did not hear a thing just something to think about if you are an early to bed person.

Very friendly woman at the reception and 2 nice Kingsize beds. The bathroom (shower was clean and functional) had a ventilator and a small window. Restaurants and Grocery Outlet were in walking distance.

Great host. Lovely spot in a quiet residential area.

Great host. Lovely spot in a quiet residential area. Easy to find. House very clean, comfortable and cozy. After a day of skiing, we popped out to the local Safeway (5 mins away) to grab food to heat up. We didn’t eat out. We did appreciate that BJ has the cabin stocked with basics (coffee, tea, salt, pepper, spices, etc.) The following morning, we went to the Starbucks in Safeway to to grab a quick breakfast before heading up the hill to ski at Sierra-at-Tahoe.

My stay in Pollock Pines was truly refreshing—the crisp...

My stay in Pollock Pines was truly refreshing—the crisp mountain air, beautiful scenery, and frequent glimpses of local wildlife made for a peaceful retreat. I especially enjoyed hiking and exploring the Jenkinson Lake Recreation Area. The location was perfect, offering a serene escape while still being conveniently close to Placerville and other charming spots in the Sierra foothills.

The lake nearby was really pretty, there’s plenty of hiking trails. It feels like you’re visiting a miniature Lake Tahoe. Safeway and CVS Pharmacy nearby is a plus in case you need food/supplies. It’s also close to a lot of wineries and Apple Hill. A good spot for families or pet lovers.

Pollock Pines is a beautiful mountain town!

Pollock Pines is a beautiful mountain town! It is located in the middle between Sacramento and South Lake Tahoe. It is only 8 miles to historic Placerville and even closer to Apple Hill and Jenkinson Lake. Jenkinson Lake is a beautiful lake with good fishing and boating. Apple Hill is a great place to visit and get some fresh hot apple doughnuts. You could stay here and relax in quiet mountain town with fresh air knowing you are close to so many things to do!

I booked this property for my dad for my wedding in Placerville. He said his experience was exceptional from the very beginning. The host let him have an earlier check in and relaxed check out. Made it very clear she was there if he needed any help! He said the house was stocked and felt at home away from home. He told me that the host was super polite and raved about the house! Thank you very much for being a great host to my dad and helping him have a relaxed wedding weekend while I’m running around!

As a basic hotel, Westhaven Inn, was very adequate for our one night stay. The room was large and clean. It is not fancy, but that was fine with us. We had no problems, so all was well.
