The rooms and amenities are brand new. Room is spacious, clean and comfortable. Breakfast is good and well served. Staff friendly and accommodating. Location is good, closer to train stations and the LaGuardia airport, it’s just a little complicated to get there if you don’t know the area. We had a great stay and will definitely be back!

If I needed to stay somewhere near JFK for a flight the next day, I would definitely not stay at a Comfort Inn. I would spend the extra $50 to $100 to get a decent room, a quicker shuttle from the airport to the hotel (there was no problem the next day from the hotel to the airport). Spend the extra money, you'll be glad you did.

Everything is close. A bus + subway away.

Everything is close. A bus + subway away. Not every bus/train station is accessible. I was lugging around my toddler, stroller, car seat and luggage initially and unfortunately realized that not every station had escalators - and some stair cases were pretty steep. But I chalk that up to my inexperience. The people of Queens by and large felt like salt to the earth people and when they saw my plight, were helpful and kind in assisting me on several occasions. Also, when navigating an using google maps, click wheelchair accessible. I learned that towards the end of my trip and it made commuting with a stroller much easier! And google maps does not work when you're underground, so take note of your stops. My advice if attempting to get to Staten from Queens: Use the Ferry ( free to use, provides great view of NY and departs hourly) to avoid expensive uber rides. Otherwise you will pay double toll fees. i.e. from LGA to Staten, it would have cost us $200 with uber fees. But if you Uber to the Ferry that will be ~$50 and uber after the ferry another ~$50. That's a savings of ~$100. Also, the QGA70 link provided a a very crowded but free bus ride from LGA to our hotel in La Guardia. I look forward to visiting again in the future, God willing.

My stay in flushing was not planned & ended up there for my dad’s emergency hospital stay. The initial impression of flushing Chinatown is bussling tons of adorable tea shops, that don’t serve coffee, but have other drinks like slushies. The restaurants are awesome w/ my fav, 698 cafe, copen until 3am, so welcoming with fresh hot hot tea & cooked to order dim-sum! Soup dumplings & red bean & bbq pork buns are comfort food, & the taro red bean warm dessert soup! Ate there 3x!

Loved the store that sold NY bagels.

Loved the store that sold NY bagels. They were freshly made you can watch them being made. The food in the area could have been a little more diverse. at the same time it was good. Enjoyed Sweet leaf and they had gluten free options. Shout out for the excellent transportation in Queens. The buses were outside the door of the hotel. the train was just a few meters away.

Traffic, traffic, traffic!

Traffic, traffic, traffic! The Knicks won the playoffs so millions came to NY for the parade at the same time that hundreds of thousands came for FIFA. A 3 hour trio took 5 hours. Hey, after 53 years it was worth it! The neighborhood is humming with positive attitude. The Buccaneers Diner is the place to go for the biggest corned beef ruben that you have ever seen. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are all equally outstanding. Everywhere we went in Queens, people were going out of their way to be nice.

Queens is much more affordable than Manhattan and EVERYWHERE is accessible via the subway. We saw shops, restaurants, boutiques, and everything in between and we're not surrounded by tourists or street vendors asking for money. Where we stayed there were A TON of Asian restaurants, too many to try, but ones we would love to go back to!

Hotel Shuttle from JFK each hour and only about 20$ with Uber if you like more comfort with the luggage. A normal not beautiful but clean hotel as it is standart in the USA. 2 hours later check out was no Problem so it was perfect for us. With Uber only about 8 minutes to the LIRR train Station „Jamaica“ and from there with the LIRR train in about 25 minutes 10$ to the Grand Central Station in Upper Manhattan. Perfect. Use the LIRR to West Hempstead to come back to the Jamaica Station.

Location was great. As a tourist from the UK it was far cheaper to stay in Queens than in Lower Manhattan and the Subway was close by which gave us access to anywhere we wanted to go. It felt very safe, even at night time. The staff were super friendly. The free coffee and tea in reception was a lovely touch. We found a fabulous American Diner for breakfast each day and ate in a wonderful Chinese restaurant just up the road from the Hotel at very reasonable prices.

Very close to the city, transportation was accessible. Close to shopping malls and really great food options. The hotel staff were very accommodating and helpful when I was notified the morning of my trip that booking.com cancelled my reservation. The hotel were very helpful when I called upset, gave me a great room with a view when I arrived for check in, although my room was cancelled during Christmas time.

The hotel is relatively modern, the room I stayed was comfortable and had a very nice view over Long Island City centre and Manhattan, more or less the same view of the rooftop bar and restaurant. Long Island City is well connected by metro to Manhattan.
