Great staff and facilities. Room is comfortable and the bathroom is amazing. The location is perfect with a great breakfast diner around the corner and tons of dining choices at night. The rooms are nice and the bed is comfortable. This is a boutique hotel so you won't get a king-sized bed but you don't need one.

Not fair cuz I usually stay with family but the house was too crowded this time. Downtown Stamford is much nicer than it was 30 years ago when I lived here! Lots of good cafes and boutiques. In warm weather, water is nearby along with museums.

The room did what it needed to do for one night.

The room did what it needed to do for one night. However, if I was staying for more than one night I think I would have said something to the hotel staff. The wallpaper in my room was peeling off the walls, there were questionable stains on the walls, and not sure if we were in a "smoking" wing of the hotel but it definitely smelled like cigarette smoke. There was also something weirdly duct taped to the door, but I have no clue what it was. I only briefly interacted with the front desk staff, but they seemed friendly.

The city is a bizarre mix of upscale and trashy neighborhoods. Great access to highways but traffic was terrible. Avoid the Target downtown at all costs— takes 20 minutes just to get in and out as parking is an absolute nightmare. It feels like a leftover town from NYC. People use it hard, it is transient, tuns like a big city without the infrastructure, and was generally not a pleasant stay. Loud streets at night, mostly from drunks yelling and extremely loud cars/bikes. The hotels are lovely the Town Center is great, the business district is posh, but the city overall is overpriced and underwhelming.

I travel often for work so I am quite familiar with hotels and its fees. I will say the facilities were clean and will worked for a quick short stay. The front desk staff and concierge were not pleasant. My shower head was calcified and broken and I was charged $26 for a cot that 24 hours prior I was told by a gentleman on the phone that it was free. Concierge stood and looked at me while they saw me and my guest struggle to carry our suitcases down the steps - in what world is that okay? I was so irritated, I just swiftly left. With a few tweaks, change in management, staff etc I would come back.

We booked this hotel at the very last minute because of a change in our plans. It was great. Very clean, comfortable bed. Great staff. One comment: The quality of the bath towels does not meet the quality of the facility. You need to do better on that. But all in all a great place to stay.

We spent two nights at the transparent pool house. The house is lovely, located in the heart of an area where a small stream flows. Combined with the fall foliage and clear weather, it was simply stunning to sit inside and watch the view and the pool. There's a heated pool and an option to light a fire outside (we didn't use them), a well-equipped kitchen, a comfortable sofa, and a modern design with touches of the Far East. Olga was very kind and helpful, and gave us a tour with explanations.
