The manager Lynn was amazing! My daughter and I travelled to Mississippi to tour colleges. We were staying in hotels all along but this time decided to try something new and different. We found the Montgomery B&B on Booking.com and booked it. Within minutes, Lynn called to confirm our room. When we arrived, she greeted us and was so warm and plenty. Her cute little dog warmed my daughter right up. We told her we didn't have a pre-arranged tour of the university but were disappointed and would just have to drive around. She felt badly that we wouldn't get a real look and arranged for a wonderful young woman to give us a personal tour the next day, which was indeed amazing to have. The breakfast was delicious and the company that we sat around the table with for over an hour was just as wonderful. We even got a personal tour of the grounds and learned more about the history of the home and the Montgomery family. The room we slept in was beautiful and comfortable as well. I just can't say enough good things. If she ends up going to Mississippi State, we wouldn't stay anywhere else. Don't miss this opportunity to stay at and enjoy a comfortable and warm piece of history in the area! Thanks again Lynn for everything, Lauren and Cailin

I loved how they transformed an old school into a hotel. The vibe was super unique and everything felt clean and well cared for. Breakfast was great… hot and cold options, and you could grab a drink too. The bookcase and the little details around the place gave it a cozy feel. And being pet-friendly was a huge plus my dogs were living their best lives.

When my family and I checked in on the 5th the young lady was very friendly and respectful she recommended us to a great restaurant as well I forgot her name but she was on night shift she left the next morning at 7 I most definitely will stay again it was very clean and smelled good

Super cute places to eat at Starkville with great food. My granddaughter and I also found a great Thrift Store, Revolutions, during our stay. MSU campus is beautiful and the baseball field was awesome!

When most people go out of town for the weekend, many would...

When most people go out of town for the weekend, many would not think of Starkville, MS, but you should put it on your destination list. Mississippi State University is a beautiful campus. There are plenty of places to eat good food and great places to shop. I recommend that you put Starkville on your radar.

My niece and I made a quick side trip to Starkville from New Orleans on the way to Birmingham, AL for Hozier. The main reason for the trip was to get BBQ at The Little Dooey--BEST BBQ ANYWHERE!! Make sure to save room for lemon or chocolate pie after dinner!

Starkville is a small college town. I came for graduation.

Starkville is a small college town. I came for graduation. The campus is beautiful and usually if you are coming to Starkville is is for college related events. They have a lot of restaurants. I recommend Harvey’s steak house, Walt-on’s sports bar and restaurant or The famous Bulldog Burger. They won’t disappoint. It is easy to get wherever you want to go.

We were there for our son's graduation from MSU.

We were there for our son's graduation from MSU. We ate at Umi Japanese Steakhouse & Sushi Bar in Columbus, MS for dinner. The hibachi was amazing, and our server was excellent! Highly recommend Umi...there is also a location in Starkville.

We were there on a rainy day and still the town and Mississippi State were awesome. We’re already planning a vacation this summer. Also, my daughter loves the place, the people and the atmosphere. We’ll worth the trip and more in the future. The Montgomery B&B capped it all off as the best place to stay when you visit Starkville.

The staff was superb and the room was clean and comfortable - loved the MSU theme of the hotel. Definitely set the tone for our amazing visit to MSU. It was my child’s 18th birthday and Ms. Autumn went out of her way to make her feel special! You have earned a loyal and very satisfied customer!
