The room was clean, which is very important to me.And shower pressure was amazing.Bed was comfortable and I liked the breakfast, and the coffee was great and the staff was very friendly . I'm planning to come back to that part of the state before the end of the year and we're definitely stay again in this hotel.It was a great place just say to get your money's worth

The village was walkable though quite large.

The village was walkable though quite large. The period attired tradespeople were especially interesting and knowledgeable. We only had 2 hours before closing time, but we saw quite a lot . We ate a quick sandwich at the cafe which had many options that looked good.

I've been visiting Sturbridge village for 25+ years.

I've been visiting Sturbridge village for 25+ years. I know it is pre-season, but several exhibits were closed, there were very few volunteers in period costume, and there were some signs of neglect or deferred maintenance.

The historic atmosphere.

The historic atmosphere. The upper level rooms have spacious higher ceiling. Nice hot shower. Beds are comfortable enough. Room was very clean. The grounds are well kept and very nice. Restaurant is very good as well. Free morning coffee and baked goods in bakery also a nice touch.

The motor lodge was nothing more than a lesser quality motel...

The motor lodge was nothing more than a lesser quality motel which lacked any charm. Furniture was old, chipped and faded. Bathroom floor was cracked at toilet base. We would not return unless we could get lodging in one of the other buildings.

We were only able to stay for one night.

We were only able to stay for one night. I had my small dog with us & felt the entire area was beautiful, safe & very easy to get around. We would have liked to have stayed longer but we were on a tight schedule. We will definitely return in the future.

On the Main St. are many restaurants, stores, coffee shops...

On the Main St. are many restaurants, stores, coffee shops and Sturbridge Village, all within walking distance.of each other. The plaza on Rt 20 has several popular venues, Wal-Mart, Marshall's, Unos, Applebee's and Staples. My favorite place to eat was at the Condesa Mexican restaurant, and Yankee candle outlet nearby was a pleasure to visit.

This hotel is the BEST 2 star hotel in the WORLD Free complimentary breakfast all scones and pastries and cake are baked in house. Food was exceptional and 10% discount for all guests. Food was in the $20-30 range. Would definately come back one day. They have great areas and furniture to relax with friends and 24 hr coffee available free of charge I am 67 and stayed in thousands of hotels. It puts some 5 stars to shame

We slept one night in the hotel, it was really nice. The staff was very welcoming. The kids had fun in the pool. The gym is very small but adequate. The breakfast is reasonable. The rooms were clean and big. Excellent value for the price.

Location: close to restaurants. The young man at the front counter was very nice and friendly. We all managed to see a bear cub run through the car park as we were checking in. Great access to the Old Sturbridge Village.

Walked into the hotel and it wreaked of pot. Lobby was filthy, we didn’t stay. We did get a refund but the price for this and rating is far too high. This is a budget hotel.
