The beds were extremely comfortable and I wish I could have taken the pillows with me. I really enjoyed the way the shampoo and body wash was mounted in the shower in pump dispenser bottles.

What Guests Said About Uniontown:

Be aware before booking.

Be aware before booking. My room rate was $167 per night, but my credit card was charged $337 twice. I was then told there was an additional $50 fee per room. The billing still has not been corrected. Booking.com provides no customer service phone number and no clear way to dispute charges directly. I had to file a dispute through my credit card company, which will take time to resolve. Another concern is that you cannot remove your credit card information from your account or delete your account. Based on my experience, I consider this a scam and would strongly encourage others to monitor their credit card statements carefully.

The general area was very depressed with very little businesses right by the hotel! The hotel itself was not a hotel I would ever stay at again. It was dirty and needed remodeling. Things were broken and the mattress was ancient. The carpeting had several black marks on it and it was hard sleeping in a Room that hadn’t been dusted for a long time! Overall very disappointed with the location and the condition of this hotel.

The chain restaurants in the area were very bad.

The chain restaurants in the area were very bad. I wish I went to more local spots but they weren't as easy to get to with kids. Frank Loyd Wright houses in the area are great and totally worth checking out. Fort Necessity is pretty cool to see. I definitely recommend watching the video at the visitor center as the fort isn't that thrilling without context. Hiking in the area is great and there are plenty of cool trails all around.

It was a nice small town with historic buildings downtown and activities surrounding it like state parks and Fallingwater (FLW house). We ate at O’Gillies Bar &Grill. A little out of the way, but great food.

The annual pilgrimage at Mount Saint Macrina is always a great experience. Everybody who comes once always comes back. More volunteers are needed to help the nuns prepare for this annual event and they have a nice Super 8 to stay at!

If you like or even love the nostalgia of older motels, then this is the place for you!! Well maintained, clean with comfortable beds. The owner was super nice, it was nice addition to have chairs right outside the rooms to chill and smoke. Don't go into staying here expecting all the frills of more modern hotel/motels, there's no breakfast, and no pool. But it was quiet and peaceful a great stay to disconnect and recharge. There are several restaurants close by so eating wasn't an issue.

The location of our room was fantastic as it was hidden from the road but we got a great view of the lake. My girlfriend and now fiance got engaged just a few miles down on the way down the mountain at the watering trough of fayette county! This was a very special trip for us as the lodge at chalk hill was the first hotel we ever stayed at as a couple 4 1/2 years ago, and I just had bring her back for the beautiful scenery and beautiful rooms!
