SloveniaI have to say that price-performance for this stay was great. There was a cool breakfast near the facilities, where you talked a bit with other travelers that stayed at the same property. We even got the free tour of the historic house. Would definitely visit again.

United StatesI always travel with my pillow but they have the best ones so now I don’t have to bring mine inside when I stay here. The beds are so comfortable and I have the best views looking at the water. Close to the highway and there are lots of things close by to shop and see the town.

We were there for Civil War history and sampling local...
We were there for Civil War history and sampling local cuisine. Two days was just enough. Both were accomplished. Vicksburg Civil Ear Museum is a must see. Vicksburg National Military Park is a special place as well. Added pleasure was 10 South restaurant providing rooftop views of the Mississippi River with tasty food.

We were kind of in and out.
We were kind of in and out. We were traveling from Texas to New Jersey so there was not much time there. We did eat at a seafood place that was to die for. Unfortunately I do not remember the name of the place but the food was fresh and wonderful. The employees at the "unnamed" restaurant were very polite and helpful. Very much enjoyed being in the South again were folks say yes ma'am and no ma'am. That is how I was raised and we taught our children that also.

Vicksburg is an old Misssissippi river town with many...
Vicksburg is an old Misssissippi river town with many historic structures. In contrast to some of the old river towns, Vicksburg appears to be surviving nicely. No doubt this is in part due to the Vicksburg National Military Park and the Army Corps of Engineers being located in the city. While the old main street has it's share of empty buildings, the street is lined with trees, and there are many nice shops and restaurants and at least two museums.

Quite a number of sites to see and things to do that a few days would not even be adequate. Love the old world charm of the 1800's era. It's my 3rd time here and haven't seen all there is to see.

Known for its Mississippi River history and of course the siege during the Civil War. A large number of museums my favourite being The Old Court House , but also the River boat { free} Downtown isnt big so easily walkable there are dozens of places to park . There are several local food options and of course national chain eateries .
The battlefield and USS Cairo can consume a day . I had no safety concerns even after dark .

Loved this old hotel, with all its original features. The tales of ghost sightings and its Civil War background were fascinating. You could really feel the history of the place. Very central near to downtown. The host was extremely friendly and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble.

Amazing hosts!! We loved learning all about Vicksburg from them and the Civil War Museum downtown. The house is beautiful and we had the luck of experiencing a thunderstorm which caused amazing views over the Bayou at night. Breakfast was great, all and all incredible. Would visit again.

The handicap roll-in shower was as advertised. They had added no skid squares to the shower floor. An issue we have had
with other roll-in showers in other hotels. Plenty or space in room for a wheelchair to maneuver.
