Stunning hospitality from Lisa/Kermit the entire time.

Stunning hospitality from Lisa/Kermit the entire time. Comfy room and delicious made to order breakfasts. Appetizers late afternoon were perfect. We ate at 3 different restaurants and all were very marginal.

The "town" of Vida was not really a consideration, and there's really no "town" to consider at all. The reason I booked the Eagle Rock Lodge was because I wanted lodging right on the beautiful McKenzie River and there were very few other options available during the dates I wanted to travel. The rates were pricier than I was seeking but I figured lodging with river access was worth it. When I got to the Lodge, I knew I'd hit the jackpot! What a gorgeous place! This is a place where people go for honeymoons or special anniversaries, and it was much more than me as a solo traveler was expecting. In short, the Lodge is sensational; Vida - not so much.
