UkraineThe folks running this Inn are absolutely amazing. We visited in winter and perhaps were the trouble-makers - always getting into a fix. We got stuck in a parking lot because we arrived shortly after a snowstorm. Guess what? The Innkeepers helped us get unstuck! When our car would not start they helped us jump-start it. We stayed only for a few days but we needed some help every day and they were always there for us - a text away! Best service I have ever received and it felt much more personal than when you stayed at a hotel.
My travel companion absolutely loved the number of blankets and pillows offered. Since we are used to staying at hotels where only a sheet is provided we were pleasantly surprised. Here, a proper blanket + a fluffy throw greeted us in the room - very cozy!
Outside of the room, there are a few common/shared spaces. One such space is the dining area and a kitchenette. The kitchenette space had a shared fridge, electric kettle, and a microwave. This allowed us to bring some groceries so that we could prepare our lunches and hot tea for the ski slopes. When we stayed the kitchenette was also stocked with paper cups and paper plates, which we appreciated.
We had an amazing time and cannot say enough great words about this place and the folks who run it!

The White Horse Inn was wonderful!
The White Horse Inn was wonderful! Very comfortable and clean. Bob And Allen are great owners! Location was perfect...quiet but yet accessible to Killington and Stowe. Would definitely stay here again! Frank & Linda

Waitsfield is exactly how I pictured a small New England...
Waitsfield is exactly how I pictured a small New England town should look. It has adorable shops, a farmer's market, and some good restaurant options. We had delicious steak at the Hyde Away Inn, and beer at Lawson's Finest Liquids. Our stay at the Mad River Lodge was comfortable, in a lovely setting just outside of town. We were in the area for the Mad River Marathon, which is challenging, but scenic.

Beautiful inn situated in picturesque surroundings only minutes from historic Waitsfield. Great room and facilities including spa, outdoor fire. Our bed (yes, it was a featherbed) was incredibly comfortable, breakfasts were a treat with all local produce and our hosts (Karen and Mick) were amazing, very knowledgeable about local tourist attractions and places to visit.

Great room with comfortable bed and good bed linen. Shower and toiletries were excellent and towels were plentiful and soft. Easy to find and park. We just stayed for one night on a tour of Vermont so didn't have time to use the lounge and garden but it was a good place to stop and we got an excellent recommendation for dinner at the Mad Taco in Waitsfield.

The hotel is very cozy with the typical flair of a mountain lodge. Beautiful and clean rooms, easy check-in, friendly staff, free coffee all the time and even some cheap snacks for breakfast. The hotel lobby is also very beautiful. We were looking for a cheap overnight-stay and our expectations were even exceeded.

The hotel was still having some refurbishment going on but it’s looking great!
