Helpful and friendly staff, classic motel setting, quiet despite road 395 just outside, located in the, in our opinion, most attractive area of California. Very remote!

Clean, comfortable, good use of space.

Clean, comfortable, good use of space. Had all the items needed in the kitchen - good quality as well. Great view of the mountains and surrounding areas. Quiet remote little "town" - very friendly people. The Mountain View BBQ place directly across the street is AMAZING!!! The owner's been at it for over 32 years and is very good at what he does. Little shift store, Trading Post, Coffee Cafe, a Burger joint all along the Highway 395 in walking distance of the Motel. Driving into Carson City & Virginia City is an hour. Other roadside destinations are all within a day trip range.

We stayed at this hotel before when Sam the previous owner was there. Now it’s under new ownership. It’s was not the same. We booked two rooms. One of them didn’t have hot water. The ac didn’t work well since they use swamp coolers. The owner has been there for only a few months and I think he is overwhelmed. As far as the room himself, it needs new curtains the ones that we had wooden close right they were pretty old ann Cow webs all over the ceilings. It wasn’t very clean.

Cute highway through the middle town that's taken a hit lately from a major wildland fire some years back. Some took a hard loss and others rebuilt, remodeled and continue. Nice folks and tough breed who have managed to survive the difficulties of living in a very rural location. Nice place to stop for a bite or night. Lots of natural beauty surrounds.

We have stayed here three times and choose it as our regular stop when traveling from Southern California into Oregon 3-4 x per year. We feel safe here - it is 'boutique-y" in style, clean, you can drive right up to your doorstep, and much nicer than your typical roadside motel. Thumbs up!

Walker is a small town with few or none places of interests. There is only contactless communication for check in. We were put in a room that was not cleaned. After a textmessage to management, we got another room.

This motel was in a very secluded area, so it was nice and quiet. The room was clean, bed comfortable, front desk friendly.

We did not actually stay at the hotel, because their post-booking messages were quite off-putting
