The layout and size of the space was wonderful. The furnishings were lovely. The property itself was gorgeous. The private entrance was also very nice.

Wallace has the apperance of the quintessential farming...

Wallace has the apperance of the quintessential farming community that happens to be next to an interstate highway, yet accessible from other major highways linking visitors to other known and not-so-known attractions, all waiting to be discovered, such as the downtown area. My stay was limited to a specific family event without enough time to explore, but I would consider Wallace for a quiet multi-day stay to "get away from it all" yet be able to quickly travel to NC's beaches or nearby lakes. There is a lot to discover in and around Wallace and surrounding Duplin County. I would return.

very disappointed. we were put in a room right by the lobby...

very disappointed. we were put in a room right by the lobby and when i left a review complaining about the noise, the response was that we were halfway down the hall which is a lie. also the breakfast bar was not good. my husband normally eats anything and he thought it was bad. the response to my comments to the In was that the breakfast is the standard Hilton breakfast. we stayed the previous night in a hilton and it was very different and very good. when checking out the receptionist first thought i was someone else and then totally ignored my comment that the room we were put in was a problem not even an apology

Not a lot to do in Wallace.

Not a lot to do in Wallace. Town has been in decline for many years and has not been revitalized. It does have most national fast food chains and WalMart. There is a lake with a campground and you can use their facilities for a fair price. Fuel price was less than $3.00 while we were there July 1 and 2. One popular restaurant called the Mad Boar. It is just off of I-40 for easy access.

Loved the size of the room.

Loved the size of the room. Hated the bathroom, needs renovations. The restaurant next door was convenient and the food was good. Hotel is extremely accessible to the highway, a few places to eat and Walmart and shopping are close.
