Wendover is a cute little town not much to do thier unless you are going to gamble it’s nothing but a casino town so bring a lot of money if you want to gamble and I am not talking about a few hundreds dollars you better bring a few thousand because once you run out of gambling money there is nothing else to do there that’s unless you drive to Las Vegas. Nice little town but not much to do there. So be aware of that.

Wendover is literally the only city for about 100 miles in every direction, so it has a reputation for offering at least the basic comforts for anyone who wants to get off the road for a few hours. Quality fun in the casinos, comfortable stays in the available hotels for any budget, even great restaurant options! A sit-down Pizza Hut, a Smiths grocery store, and an amazing view of the Great Basin desert as far as the eye can see if you're looking south on Wendover Boulevard, or the "Business I-15 loop" as it's called. It's a good place to "get away" for a couple of days. I've taken 4 trips here in the past year so Wendover has a way of getting repeat visitors with its "siren-song."

Wendover is in both Utah and Nevada.

Wendover is in both Utah and Nevada. The Nevada side has a Las Vegas feel with huge, ugly resort & casino hotels. Smoking is rampant indoors so is disgusting if you are not a smoker. The restaurants are in the smoke filled casinos. Nevada is behind the rest of the world. Have they not heard of harmful second hand smoke? Smoking was banned 20 years ago indoors in Canada!! The Utah side is not flourishing and has seen better days. This is not a place I would spend any time in or come back to.

It's an artificial casino town in the middle of a hellscape!

It's an artificial casino town in the middle of a hellscape! It just happened to be the stopping point for my last night's rest on a drive from Maine to California. Can't imagine anyone going here on purpose!

Nothing was “great”.

Nothing was “great”. Carpet was filthy, and being awakened by a hostile, argumentative staff member at 1:30 am, wanting to know if we’d paid, was beyond the pale. Of course we’d paid - we checked in after paying and reserving online.

little town.

little town. A few hotels and casinos to spend some $$ and have a good time. ♡ we stopped by the army base museum before we left. (Super cool) not a whole lot to do in the town but yes in the casinos and hotels.

Close to the casinos of West Wendover (if that's your thing) and Bonneville Salt Flats (my thing). Guest laundry on site. A quiet nights sleep too. Thank you to my fellow guests!
