United StatesLake Chatauqua and this gated community were a most wonderful find. I am reluctant to give this the rave review it deserves because it seems like an undiscovered gem and I don't want to ruin that. First, Camille, the manager of the Women's club is one of those gracious people who is a born hostess. The breakfast she made was sublime. The building and the bedrooms are first class -- it's like staying at a very affluent family member's home. The view of the lake from my room was unobstructed. It's right next door to the big hotel, which has great food (don't miss the red pepper soup). It's lovely and peaceful, I could go on and on. I wish I'd stayed here longer than one night.

Clean and comfortable older motel. Very well kept by a wonderful couple. Nice lawn with gazebo, planting all around well cared for, a historic GEM !! Close to town but just out enough to be quiet and peaceful..

Westfield is a charming town in the heart of grape country...
Westfield is a charming town in the heart of grape country near Lake Erie, full of great historic buildings and beautiful trees. Enjoyed walking around and had a great breakfast at the Main Diner, an authentic diner from the 1930s.

Charming town stuck in the 19th century.
Charming town stuck in the 19th century. Location on Lake Erie and 10 minutes from Chautauqua Lake keeps the hotel costs a lot lower than the tourist traps. Lots of the musicians in the Chautauqua Symphony Orchestra live there because it's so much cheaper!

Do yourself a favor, get off the interstate highway and visit Westfield, NY. And, stay at the Theater Motel. It has a Route 66 vibe that the chain hotels just can't touch. Our room was spacious and included a mini-fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. It was very tidy and comfortable. The hotel owner was very friendly and went way out of his way to accommodate an out of the ordinary request that we presented him. He is making a valiant effort to keep this piece of post war Americana alive.

Clean. Better TV than much more expensive hotels. The motel has its charm as a 1960s-style dated motel. Staff is friendly. Decent enough place considering the relatively low price.
