The cabin was about a half hour drive to MerleFest.
The cabin was about a half hour drive to MerleFest. Very beautiful setting and cabin, with modern appliances. But bring your own shampoo and conditioner since it's not provided.
We drove into town and visited the courthouse museum, and took the guided tour of the jailhouse and the oldest house in the area - definitely recommended. Then ate twice at Dooley's restaurant - excellent.

The workers were amazing. One interesting thing though, between the hotel and the speedway gas station it looked like there was a homeless person who had set up a tent and was running a generator. That's not the hotel's fault, but it didn't make me a little nervous having my daughter with me.

As a house cleaner myself, I really appreciated the cleanliness of inside the room & all of the other Days Inn property. The sheets & towels were incredibly white. I appreciated the amount of light fixtures in the room as well. Each staff I encountered were very friendly and helpful.

Don't plan on a "breakfast" here. They are currently limited to bagels, pre-packaged muffins, and beverages. The staff was friendly and the hotel pleasantly clean and comfortable. It was recently jutted and completely remodeled and they did a fairly good job in the rooms.

The facility is clean. The room was comfortable. I prefer that hotels at a similar price point in Europe use ceramic, glass, and metal breakfast service plate, glasses, and cutlery. This hotel uses paper and plastic.
