Main street is nice, very good food and service at all of the places we stopped/ate at. Get off of main street, not so much.
Tourist spots (Crater, Petrified forest, ect) are all worth the visit. Special shout out to Navajo Hopi Indian Art & Craft Center and Meteor city. Both are worth the stop.

If you like Mexican food, eat at Romo's Mexican Grill.
If you like Mexican food, eat at Romo's Mexican Grill. It's weird to find but the food was pretty good.
If you are traveling to Phoenix, Camp Verde or Cottonwood, get off of the 40 and take the 87 highway down to the 260 west. The drive at first is mainly desert but it turns into beautiful trees and a lot of wild life. Well worth the drive.

It is the Standin on the Corner in Winslow Arizona that tourists and me came for. There are other quaint places to see and more should be made of the railway..... very long trains were coming and going all day.

Close to freeway entrance, easy access. Room was clean and quiet. Staff were friendly and helpful. Great place to stay for travelers. Whether overnight or vacationing in Winslow. The price for the rooms just can't be beat, and pet friendly charge is only $10 per pet.

We really enjoyed "standing on the corner" Everyone we encountered was friendly and courteous! Ate at Bojo's and Relic Road Bar. Both were very good! ALSO - Dollar Tree was a short block from Clarion Pointe and so convenient for a couple things we needed!

stopped there to see winslow corner from eagles song, also enjoyed meal at flat bed ford cafe! working on rt. 66 stamps for our passport of rt. 66! lots of great littles shops, too. even found a rt. 66 monopoly game for our collection!

What a great hotel! Rooms and communal areas clean and fresh and feels like new. Room was spacious, comfortable and spotlessly clean. Hotel located a little out of town but there are a couple of fast food restaurants within walking distance. We had cocktails at the hotel which were well made and fairly priced. Breakfast was plentiful and a good choice and no plastic plates or cutlery in sight!!

Unfortunately when we went to check in we were advised that the hotel was overbooked and had transferred us to another hotel which would be an upgrade … unfortunately it was not the only advantage of the new hotel was that it was slightly close to the downtown Winslow … not sure why Bookings.com allowed us to book a hotel which was overbooked
