The staff were friendly and efficient. We checked in early, but the man on reception was able to find us a room that was free. The pool was nice. The bed was super comfortable. The most comfortable we have had on this trip staying in 16 different hotels. A special bonus was the social hour - with a drink and snack. We were able to meet other guests and chat to the staff.

Everything was great...staff was friendly and helpful. Room was clean, quiet, and beds were super comfy..pillows are comfortable. they provide make up wipes and use Dove hair products (amazing compared to others). Breakfast was great...fresh fruit, yogurt, biscuits and gravy, eggs, sausage, cereal, waffles.... And more. Alot of variety for everyone. No nonsense outside. Highly recommend if you gotta stay in Yakima.

This has a small-town vibe with some large-town amenities.

This has a small-town vibe with some large-town amenities. We enjoyed a wide range of restaurant choices: Mexican, Steakhouse, and Chinese. We wish that we had time to try the Thai choices too. Yakima has all of the important shopping choices: big-box and boutique. Costco, Winco, and many of the mall favorites. We weren't in the market, but it sure looks like it is a good place to purchase an automobile, too. Yes, a fairground, movie theaters, and sports venues. There seems to be a church of every ilk on nearly every corner. Something for everyone..!!!

The location was great. Loved the view of the river.

The location was great. Loved the view of the river. We had a room on the fourth floor. Room was clean and comfortable. There was a Mexican restaurant next door. The food was excellent and they gave large portions. I would recommend this motel and book it again.

Try to time your visit to take in a performance at the Capitol Theatre. The Yakima Symphony Orchestra (one of Washington State's finest classical orchestras) performs there around 10 times a year. Excellent hiking can be found in the Cascades 1 to 1.5 hours drive west.

I lived in Yakima while growing up.

I lived in Yakima while growing up. Still have relatives there, so I visit frequently. Always stay at Baymont, and always happy with it. Love being by the river. Plenty of good restaurants. Unless you are really hungry, you need to share a Miner's hamburger--been going to Miners since I was a teenager 70 years ago! Wonderful Mexican food. And, of course, some good steakhouses, including Outback and Texas Roadhouse.

Good..there are places to eat close by that could walk to if needed. We walked to a Safeway as well. Bed was comfy. It was nice to have 2 chairs and a extra table to relax at. Bad..a lot of street people as we walked along in the area. They didn't bother us as we walked by but could be scary for some people.

We came to Yakima with our senior marching band for a parade...

We came to Yakima with our senior marching band for a parade and was happy to see the big crowds and welcoming people. We actually saw gas for $3.89 a gallon. We only spent one night, so we didn't get to see much of Yakima. It seemed like a nice town with equally nice people

The hotel is conveniently located and offers free parking. After a friendly welcome, we were able to move into our spacious and clean room. The furnishings are modern and contemporary. The bed is very comfortable. The breakfast was typical American with waffles and bagels, but croissants (not the French ones) and burritos were also offered. That was something different and very tasty.
