Wonderful new apartment, tastefully set up with a lot of care by the attentive owner. There is a lovely shaded patio. It is close to the castle of Nancy and Patrick, and there is a path through fields to Apparition Hill. Best of all, the alternate, much shorter route to Cross Mountain begins from the backyard (it intersects the main route at the 12th station) & the main route with the Stations of the Cross is also not a far walk. But the shortcut is more deserted so if this is your first time, I recommend using the main route with the Stations; on your descent, at the 12th station, look opposite the plaque and you'll see a path going down to the right--which will lead you quickly to your backyard. If you are a person who needs total privacy, be aware that every now and then pilgrim groups will congregate in the yard as they wait for stragglers in their party to descend. Walking to the main street for food, supermarket, church, etc. is not bad (about 20 minutes) but involves a hill. I was able to do it carrying groceries & pushing a stroller after a day of climbing, but keep in mind if mobility is an issue--you might want a taxi number.

Where do I start? This place is a GEM! If you've been doing a bit of hiking and biking, or battling the beach crowds at Budva, Mostar or elsewhere, this is paradise. An enormous outdoor deck and patio are right on the river - jump on in and cool off! The second bedroom is tiny so more appropriate for a child and the cabin itself is small but you won't be indoors much - the outdoor living space with deck chairs, a full table and even swings is easily three times the size of the cabin. Be aware you're right across from a restaurant/beach popular with the locals. We found it enchanting (definitely take a stroll and walk over the bridge to have a drink or dinner or just wander around - don't miss doing that - it's made up of boardwalks and small "islands.") On a weekend I think it can possibly be loud. We had no complaints - it's mostly families and kids fishing and swimming. Fun! The hosts were charming - a young couple obviously excited to share their little hideaway. They are a delight. It's 20 minutes from Kravica Waterfalls so we got up early, got to the falls by 7:45, enjoyed an almost private swim there (and no entrance fee since they don't start collecting until 8 am) and were back at the cabin by 9:30 - and that included a stop at a local bakery (Pekara) to pick up breakfast! There's also a charming winery no more than half an hour away and a grocery store in town about 15 minutes away. Our hosts said mosquitos can sometimes be an issue and they provide candles to keep them at bay, but we had no mosquitos or bugs at all. Do yourself a favor - stay here and do your day-trips and return to a beautiful spot. By the way we are Americans and I say that only because I realize we are known for being fussy but we loved everything about this place.

We were warmly welcomed by the host, who greeted us at her beautiful house. The property was spacious, spotlessly clean, and had everything needed for a comfortable stay. The main bedroom featured a large, very comfortable bed, while the second bedroom had two single beds—perfect for families or small groups. The kitchen was well-equipped with all the utensils you’d need to prepare breakfast or cook a full meal. Outside, there was a large patio area with a table and chairs, a lovely garden, and a great view—perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. The location was ideal for visiting nearby highlights such as Počitelj, Mostar, and the Blagaj Tekija. Our only regret is that we stayed just one night—wish we had more time to enjoy this wonderful place!
