Cottages in Amble

Location was excellent and the decor was really well thought out.

We recently spent 4 nights at the costal family home and found it to be very comfortable for what we needed. The double beds were very comfy (we needed to take advantage of a double bed each as we are used to a king size as we like to spread out) and the property location was spot on . The place is clean and the little extra touches upon arrival such as biscuits, fudge, milk and nibbles were very welcome! My only very slight negative was that the bathroom was a bit small particularly where the toilet is situated which is narrow and awkward especially when moving the glass shower door to get in/out. The central heating was easy to operate and most welcome as it did get a bit cold during our stay, understandable I suppose being near to the coast. The location is great, within walking distance of all that Amble has to offer and a good base for exploring the gorgeous Northumberland coastline, a walk to the village of Warkworth and its castle is highly recommended. The free street parking was an added bonus and managed to park for the duration of our stay right outside the property. Nice and highly recommended nearby Indian and Italian restaurants, the latter of which I would strongly recommend booking well in advance. A selection of pubs (a couple in the high street were a bit shady, quick half and out) and cafes especially on the quayside, nor forgetting the nice Chinese takeaway near the port which we used on the Sunday evening and whilst it doesn't look inviting, the food was amazing! Great communication by Lara the owner/host and always available should the need arise. We'd definitely consider staying here again when next up this neck of the woods.

Great location next to the waterfront, bars and shops a few minutes away. Very clean, lovely bedding, fully loaded kitchen and the TV with Netflix and Prime. Home from home.

Quirky little home, kitchen has everything you need, except a whisk would.be a great addition, also the lack of a washing machine is quite frustrating. There is a Launderette at the end of the street, but it would be far more convenient to have one in the property, I personally do not want to have to go the the launderette, especially if it is raining, it would have been a great help to have had a washing machine in the property, you can then get your washing sorted in the evening or in the morning before you go out for the day we have stayed in lots of holiday homes, as our daughter lives in Northumberland and we visit a lot, this is the first house that hasn't had the benefit of a washing machine. The Dyson hairdryer is a lovely luxury, but I would rather have had a washing machine. However, the house is very comfortable, great powerful shower, always hot water, although the cubicle is quite small. Very kind of the owners to leave scones and cake for us on arrival, also a doggy biscuit for our dog, very kind property was very clean on arrival, although there was a smell, not sure if it hadn't been let recently. Also signs of damp/mould in the bathroom needs addressing. First day we had no heating and the house was freezing. Messaged the owner, who always replies very promptly, she said the previous guests must have altered the settings and told me what to do, perhaps it would be a good idea to check the settings after each guest leaves, just to make sure there are no issues. Great location, plenty of lovely walks along the coast path, around amble, loved walking around the pier and seeing the seals, plenty of places to eat, nice walk to Warkworth. The anchorage is in a great location to explore all that Northumberland has to offer. All in all a lovely stay, just a couple of issues which are easily fixed. Thanks for a lovely stay

The location to the beach and high street. The little reading area Kitchen well equipped.

Comfy beds and sofa. Good amount of space downstairs.

Location amazing. Ton of cute restaurants. Very close to the town. Excellent host. Really spacious house with a lot of back garden space, very comfortable beds, tons of towels and loved having the convenience of the washer and dryer there too. Would definitely request to stay there again if we return to the area in the future.

What can I say this was absolutely perfect, a great location and wonderful views, A spacious and lovely house with everything needed to enjoy a home from home break and the bonus of a hot tub which is wonderful after a day of walking and exploring. Also a good location to explore the surrounding area. The host was also very helpful when I called and had left a bottle of wine and a box of chocolates for us arriving which was a lovely touch. Would definitely recommend and will definitely stay again when I'm back in the area. Five stars all the way outstanding 👍
