We arrived at Lake Batur Cabin in the evening, initially feeling a bit uneasy as there was no one to welcome us. For a moment, we wondered if we had made the wrong choice, but those concerns quickly faded when Puttu and his family arrived at the property. They apologized for the inconvenience, explaining that they had to visit the hospital, which is why no one was there to greet us. From that moment on, our stay was nothing short of wonderful. The property is perfectly situated beside Lake Batur, offering stunning views that were simply breathtaking. Puttu and his family are incredible hosts who went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. In the evening, they set up a campfire, which was a fantastic opportunity for us to get to know each other's families better. Puttu even treated us to some delicious local sweets, which we thoroughly enjoyed. The property itself is surrounded by lush farms, adding to the serene and peaceful atmosphere. Puttu, who is an amazing artist, has designed the cabin with meticulous attention to detail. From the walls to the chairs, the kitchen to the toilet, every aspect of the property reflects his superb craftsmanship. We were truly impressed from the moment we set foot on the property. A special mention must go to Puttu's mother, who is such a loving and caring lady. They even provided free accommodation and food for our taxi driver, who had to stay with us, which was a thoughtful gesture that we greatly appreciated. The bed was very comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep, and the breakfast was delicious, made with fresh ingredients sourced from the local farms nearby. Every aspect of our stay was perfect, and we left with fond memories. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Lake Batur Cabin and will definitely be returning. If you're looking for a place that combines stunning views, warm hospitality, and a touch of artistic flair, this is the place to be.

The view from the bedroom is nice, as seen on the picture. The rooms are clean and tidy. Breakfast fried rice is delicious, but a bit too spicy even for javanese tongue like mine. Everything goes well and nice. But the weather doesn't support us. Too bad it's cloudy, so we can't get the sunrise.

Lovely new property, the garden is very beautiful, we love the duplex style room because it feels spacious. It has AC which is very rare in the cooler mountain weather but super comfortable during the day. The hot tub infront of the room is also a selling point and combine with beautiful garden, you get a insta perfect photo but the source of the water is not coming from the hot spring, its coming from water heater which means you need to wait sometimes for the hot water to reheat again.

This place was absolutely beautiful! The swimming pool was stunning. The people working here were very nice :). I would stay here again.

Everything. The view. The staff. The room. Can’t recommend enough

The villa is exceptional. The layout is very functional with three air-conditioned bedrooms having their own bathrooms. We appreciated the amazing artwork done by a local artist and comfortable furniture throughout. The beds were just right - not too firm and not too soft. Of course the pool was heavenly! There is also a covered gazebo sitting area on the rooftop if some in your group wish to have a little more privacy to themselves. Something that should be advertised is this is the only place we stayed in Bali with drinkable tap water! The villa has its own well that is double-filtered. It took the daily worry out of having to purchase bottled water (like in the resorts). In addition, there is a water station with instant hot water for making a quick tea or coffee. Location is great for the Tejakula area. Just a couple lots over is Tropikal Bar for those wanting to get a refreshment or snack and socialize. We stopped in a few times during our 10-day stay and Mike, Lindsey, Jay and Songging are all so personable and welcoming. Also the local restaurants - Warung Seni for breakfast and Dapur Gorecki for lunch/dinner were spectacular. Siti, the wonderful owner of Dapur Gorecki also operates a cat sanctuary. The wife enjoyed massages at the nearby spa. We will definitely stay here again!
