Raymond and Emma are amazing people. Not only were they extremely helpful at every step, even when we wanted groceries they drove us and helped us buy and brought us back and showed us around. Aside from that the property itself is amazing and located well within the town close to everything and has all the facilities.

We absolutely loved it! Tommy was a great host who welcomed us with a little tour of the house and some historical details about Castleblayney. We had the cutest neighbors (cows) and a nice view from every room. Since the Haggard is located pretty much in the middle between Belfast and Dublin (both within a 1.5 hr radius by car) there was a lot to discover. We got to enjoy woods, fields, historical sites and the coast all within a few days. We absolutely recommend this accommodation for families or any other group of up to 6 people, since there is plenty of space (3 bedrooms, each with it's own bathroom) and lots of adventures waiting!

The location was excellent! The property location was just off of the main strip of the town. Walking was no issue. The host was very prompt with responses for any questions and the check-in instructions were very easy to follow! I would highly recommend staying here for any duration of stay!

We had a truly wonderful stay! Reese and Donna were thoughtful hosts, their attention to detail throughout the retreat was exceptional everything from the design to the amenities felt carefully curated and luxurious. The location was peaceful and beautifully surrounded by nature, which made for a relaxing and rejuvenating experience. We especially loved the jacuzzi; such a lovely touch after a day of exploring. my girlfriend and I spent two nights here last week. We were on a low budget exploration of Ireland. It was easy to reach by bus 980 from Dublin. From the main bus stop in the twon you walk only 12 minutes. So we could enjoy our drinks in town and later walked "home". The taxi was quite cheap but we opted to walk into town. The place is clean and you get breakfast. Pascall, the gentleman who served us is a cool mature man who is particular about healthy foods. For instance, he has low fat and low sugar food for breakfast. We quite enjoyed the home made scones, the calm environment and peaceful home-like hospitality and facilities. This is a to go place when in Carrickmacross and nearby towns like Ardee, Dundalk, etc. We are planning to make is our regular weekend or holiday place.
