Cottages in Naoshima

Beautiful location, wonderful garden, only wish I had a week there instead of 2 nights

Cute little cottage, and was cleaned once a day while we stayed there. Just down some steep stairs from the My Lodge Hotel and restaurant where you can have breakfast or dinner or a sunset view drink. My Lodge also rents e-bikes to get around the island.

The people at the reception desk greeted us and were so friendly. We felt right at home as soon as we arrived. The room was immaculate and spacious with beautiful amenities. The front desk did all they could to make our stay on Naoshima a wonderful experience.

The whole building is in nice condition. The beach is within a very short walking distance. Nice facilities (wholistic kitchen ware, entertainment equipments, etc). You need to rent motor bikes to get around if you want to go far, though. The host is very welcoming and accommodating, and willing to help.

the house is simply amazing! it has everything you need, with super high quality. super close to the pier and very well located to access the galleries! it was super tidy and clean. the owner bought us a gift because it was our honeymoon celebration and we loved every bit of it! the decoration is awesome and the bikes were fully charged for us and ready to use. 100% sure we will come back!

The house and hosts were absolutely charming. This is a traditional Japanese house, which we loved. The location is excellent.

It was a charming property. We loved the ambiance of the Japanese ryokan with excellent proximity to the port and bikes can easily be stored on the property. The management was friendly and everything seemed easy to navigate in the home with English labels. Thank you for this amazing experience of comfort and culture. Highly recommend this property.

the best experience on all of Naoshima

Location was perfect. Close to port, restaurants, 7 eleven and onsen. Great base for exploring the island. Staff were so helpful.

Amazing!!!!! Spotless. Good linens, comfortable beds, complementary snacks. But what makes this a superb house were the host: Masako and Yoshi are the epitome of kindness and generosity. It was raining when we got here and they picked us up and brought us to the house. From then onwards they recommended restaurants and dropped and picked us at different locations. There are no language barriers as Masako always carries her translator. A charm all around.

If you want to have the real Japanese traditional house experience, this is the place. A beautiful house in a tranquil neighborhood.

This home was absolutely perfect. Quiet, clean, inviting and had everything you could need. The owners were incredibly helpful when it came to any questions in and around the islands that we needed. The sauna and cold plunge was an added bonus! Easy to get to the trains, ferries and even included bicycles to get around easily. This place is magical and worth the stay!

Alan was such a great host and really helped us out navigating the island in the rain. He also helped us book a restaurant on a night when most were closed.
