Cottages in Shimoda

Private onsen was great ! Location is very close to the beach but you have to take a bus from train station.

The location was great, situated in a nice area. We had no trouble accessing the place, and it was conveniently close to the beach and a supermarket.

The location to the beach (directly across) was great. We could easily walk there everyday, and we did with our two small children. It was an easy drive into central Shimoda for restaurants, groceries, and other adventures. We’d definitely book this spot again if we find ourselves traveling to Shimoda on a future trip. Our host, Naomi, was there to greet us when we arrived, and gave a very thorough overview of the house. The house itself was greats for our needs, and we especially liked the cleanliness, the cooking amenities, and access to laundry. Our 8 night stay couldn’t have been better.

This is a really cute cabin to rent if you want to do BBQ and go to the beach. There is a fire pit, BBQ area, great kitchen, and plenty of beds so you can bring a group. We especially enjoyed Irita beach, a short drive away, but there is another beach about 1km away for people who prefer to walk. I hope to visit again. The cabin is made of natural wood and has a cozy feeling. There are board games, a stereo, a nice shower, and laundry. Everything is set up nicely so you can enjoy your time in Shimoda. Plus the staff recommended the Aoki grocery store with the best food so we could make a nice meal.

It was in a quiet area with a great bakery within a short walk. The beach was also a short walk away. The house was well equipped in the kitchen for everything you need for cooking simple meals.

We could check in an hour in advance, and we were glad we could meet someone when we arrived at the property, so it was very helpful that she quickly explained us about the keys. The wifi connection was fine and we were glad some repellent was provided for insects. The jacuzzi was nice and enjoyed it a lot.

Very spacious and clean house. Wonderful design and everything you need. The owner is very kind and helpful. Since the owner is a foreigner, you can easily communicate in English.

The home was very spacious, beds clean and comfortable and the kitchen had everything you need to cook for a large family. The sauna was used daily as it was a great amenity.
