I loved everything about Edaala. From the gorgeous accommodations in a safe gated community that was centrally located, within walking distance or a short drive, to sites my friends and I came to see to the amazing staff. We loved our first stay so much we changed our overnight booking before departure to stay another night at Edaala. I cannot recommend this property enough. The owners communications from the moment we booked to the moment we departed was spot on. Thank you for being so gracious and accommodating to last minute changes in our schedule. I cannot wait to visit again.

I had a wonderful experience staying at this cottage December 2024 - January 2025 (1 week)! The location is absolutely perfect, making it easy to explore the area. The staff was incredibly helpful and supportive, always ready to assist with anything I needed. The cottage itself is beautiful, providing a cozy and comfortable atmosphere. This was my first time traveling to Africa from California (I'm a woman in my 60's who traveled solo) and I started my trip staying at the Pumbaa Farmhouse and Cottages before a safari. Before I traveled, Bev was extremely helpful and communicative and answered my many questions. She and her husband Iby are the friendliest, most delightful hosts one could hope for. I LOVED the grounds, my cottage, and the peacefulness and beauty of this property. The incredible songs and sounds of the birds, the beautiful and lush landscaping, the call to prayer heard from the distance -- all added to the magic of my stay. The breakfast was so delicious, there were lovely amenities, and my cottage was beautiful and looked just like the photos -- it could not have been a better introduction to this wonderful country. Pumbaa is close to the Giraffe Center, the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, the Karen Blixen Museum and more. It was easy and fast to get an Uber, yet the property feels remote, private, and very safe. If I ever return to Kenya, I will absolutely stay here again. In fact, I would love to see Bev and Iby again, they are doing so many upgrades to their gorgeous property which are amazing! Bev's designs and touches inside and out are so tasteful, elegant, and beautiful. I love her style and she buys from and supports Kenyan purveyors. Bev and Iby and their cottages deserve a solid 10 out of 10!

I can't say enough nice things about Severine. Exceptional all the way around. Kids had a nice surprise when they discovered the horses.

The Giraffe Cottages Restaurant and Bar offers a sauna and free private parking, and is within 10 miles of Kenyatta International Conference Centre and 11 miles of Nairobi National Museum.

The breakfast is amazing, complete and fresh. The staff helpful and we can feel Kenya hospitality from them. Location is not in city centre and Giraffe centre is in walking distance. Correct decision to stay at this cottage because we can take a rest peacefully rather than stay at city centre. Good kitchen facilitiy.

The Haven House is located in Nairobi, just 7.6 miles from Kenyatta International Conference Centre and 9.1 miles from Nairobi National Museum.
