Cottages in Shimoni

We were warmly received, it seemed like the entire village of Mkwiro came to meet us, it was fantastic! Everything about this place was magical! Asma made us the most beautiful and delicious meals, we are so grateful! For a small fee she took care of catering for us. Jenga (caretaker) is the kindest most helpful man, he dedicated himself to making sure our stay was as comfortable as could be. George (security) was always on board to make us feel safe in the evenings!

Beautiful property in an equally beautiful location. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful throughout our stay, which really added to the overall experience. The food was average—not bad by any means, just nothing particularly memorable. One thing to note: the beach area does attract quite a few hustlers trying to sell goods and services. While this isn’t something the property owners can control, it did get a little tiresome after a while. That said, they were never rude or aggressive. A polite “We’re good” repeated a few times usually did the trick. Despite that minor inconvenience, we truly enjoyed our stay and would absolutely return.
