The villa was everything and more than what we had expected. There are spacious living areas, cosy bedrooms and an outdoor/indoor dining area that you can choose based on the weather/preference. The outdoor space was excellent, we thoroughly enjoyed the putting green and spa (which, being warmed by log fire was extra gratifying). Upon arrival at the property we were greeted by friendly and inquisitive horses, immediately feeling right at home in the countryside, despite (for us) the town being a short walk away. We used the villa for a 2 night stay on our way to Wellington from Auckland, but honestly wish we had stayed for longer, we'll definitely return at some point.

Slightly off the beaten track, and worth it! A lovely room in a kiwi cottage, warm, clean, with idyllic surroundings. Clearly much love and care is put into this accommodation by the owners. Hot shower with great water pressure too! Have already recommended this to friends and family as a way to break up the drive between north and south. We’ll be back.

Perfectly located for the Timber Trail mtb ride. Cottage was really nice and our room had a a nice outdoor sitting area.
