Cottages in Ollantaytambo

Felt like we won the lottery when we entered! My friends thanked me over and over for finding Casa Ollantaytambo. Every single detail was perfect! Opened door and a hot water carafe with tea service awaited us on kitchen counter! Home is built around a gorgeous open, yet shaded, courtyard. Owner communicated entire list of “suggested places to dine and things to do.” Stunning views of Inka ruins and hillsides from upstairs deck/rooms. Located close to main square and to historical Inka hike. Home baker with delicious rolls on same street but you have to look at subtle signage. Comfy beds, Spotless. Comfy hangout spaces. Owner, who lives out of town, was beyond delightful!

This was the most beautiful amazing property! When my friends and i pulled up to the house at sunset we were in shock by the view and its beauty. We were even more shocked when we went inside the house and saw how beautiful it was with all of the windows looking out to the mountains. The beds were the most comfortable beds ever. The showers had hot water. The wifi worked great. The kitchen was amazing and it was so fun to cook all together in it! I wish i booked this place for the whole week here. I want to come back every year! It was so perfect!

The house was immaculate and beautiful, with eco-friendly material that evoked elegant simplicity. The beds and pillows were phenomenal, with foam neck pillows or soft down pillows to choose from on each bed, a firm mattress that felt perfect, and crisp white sheets and comforter that was so lovely to snuggle into. Color accents throughout the house were bright and cheery, and the view of the valley from 10,000 ft was just stunning to wake up to every day. The outlets worked with our U.S. products, the stove worked easily and all the supplies we needed to make meals from the local foods. We watched the stars from the patio and lounged under the canopy umbrella in the sunshine. Plenty of fresh, thick white towels and unexpected amenities like quality shampoo, conditioner and body wash in each bathroom. Thoughtful Peruvian carpets and throws in each bedroom and a hummingbird wall piece that represents the heart for us. Great, responsive correspondence whenever there was a question and a manned gate to the property we didn’t expect.

Villa Apu Chicon is one of the most beautiful places I have stayed in in the Sacred Valley. The buildings are an architectural dream. Pristine and luxurious with stone and wood. And the gardens are beautiful. I felt held by the surrounding mountains.
