Very new, amazing location and great hosts. It is family and locally owned by people who are also great at showing and guiding you around the area to see the wildlife. The food was also amazing every single time.

Super comfortable place to stay. Jan was helpful. Breakfast was excellent. We would have liked to stay longer.

We were able to order food for 3 meals each day if desired. We are vegetarian but we had wonderful meals they were varied and delicious. They asked us what we wanted providing it as close as requested.

Great location, very nice cabin, hot water! Good food, they were able to accommodate my dietary needs.

It is not a room; it is a villa. There are two terasses with great views. Big well kept garden and huge living room and kitchen. The breakfast was exceptional, huge and incredibly varied. The caretakers where extremely polite that did everthing to make us feel at home. The wifi was great. You can walk from the house straight to the vulcano. And most importantly: no car noise. Bath. Perfect for families. Bedrooms a bit more basic, but with very good beds. They can arrange dinner, but Grab is also possible. A bit out of town; but Gojek can take you everywhere and again: no car noise :). We rented a scooter for touring the beautiful countryside. Lots to see and do (Kali waterfall is amazingly beautifull for instance or the alternative Mahawu vulcano).

I had a perfect trip in Toraja, and it mostly owes to the perfect hosts. They prepared everything with care, showed me the good restaurants, helped me planning the trip, and even took me to a funeral, where I met their bigger family who are all great people. The bed was comfy, and sleeping under the roof hearing the rain was soothing (I have phobia of rain but this time I was calm). The little place is well decorated, fits the vibe of the hosts couple. The moment I met them I knew I got to get a good trip, that’s how they made me feel. I arrived early and left late, but they always welcomed me and had me a place to rest.

The Queens Villa is the pearl of North Sulawesi ! I’ll start with the food. You don’t eat at Queens Villa, you dine. The food is prepared from start to presentation by master chefs. They take great care and pride in their work and will always visit your table to be sure everything is excellent. They even take notice of what you don’t eat so they know what you like. Meals are served around the three tiered pool that is crisp and clean and no chlorine ! A beautiful water falls with soft lighting brings a soothing atmosphere. The property is always occupied by many artist always making wonder wood works, fountains and flora that feels like the garden of Eden. Dinners and evening are a great mix of international artist and travelers sometimes great conversations sometimes musicians playing guitars and drums, flutes and on occasion Karaoke singing! They have a complete network of drivers, guide and business people all around Sulawesi. If you don’t want to carry cash around the village and boats and on tours you can just tell them your hotel and they will send the bill to Medi and Julieanna. They can arrange any kind of tours and excursion tailored to your likes, so you don’t need to pay for packaged tours that you don’t want and at a great price. They are the only ATM on the island at this time which is really convenient. And the most important part for me is the dive shop. Local guides with eagle eyes and fantastic skills!!! Again, very wonderful prices and equipment. Indonesia in my opinion is the greatest dive sites on our planet right now and Bunaken is right up there with Raja Ampat and their reefs and dive sites are just minutes away on a boat. And for turtle lovers, this is by far the turtle haven of our planet bar none!!! My favorite by far!!!!!

Such a neat experience staying in a traditional Torajan home and Aldi and his family are amazing!! Best suited if you have your own wheels, but I got by just fine with my guided tours and rides from the host and/or my guide. Very kind, engaging and smiling hosts who are always willing to help with anything and everything - bus tickets, guide arrangements, food suggestions, pick-ups, etc. PS You must take Aldi’s advice on local food - he knows the yummiest spots!!
