This is one of the best homestay experience ever - The hosts are very down to earth and helpful and the home cooked meals are delicious. The room and the kitchen facilities are good and it feels like an authentic stay in a remote place even though it is in the heart of Dibrugarh with easy access to all the attractions. All you can possibly need during your stay is available within walking distance. It was Bihu season during my visit, so got to enjoy the traditional home made sweats as well as Xaj.

A charming place with a single house and an out house that houses three rooms in total. With bathrooms and a kitchen. It's a great option for a family or group of 4-6 people looking at booking an entire place. It's inside a village close to Methoni Tea Estate and the place has a very unhurried and a silent comfortable feel to it. The local village market and shops are a 5 min walk away with basic stuff available. The kitchen is well set up to be able to cook all meals if you so desire. You can carry your own stuff or buy from the shops (but don't expect to find fancy stuff there). There are dhabas nearby that do really good food incase you want to order in. The place is run by Avinash and his business partner. Avinash is an excellent host and will take care of all your requests. Be it cooking a meal for you, ordering food or even booking a safari ride in Kaziranga. You'll feel at home with the team and the lovely neighbours nearby. I would wholeheartedly recommend this place incase you are looking at a break from the city and want to switch off. Tip: if you are some one who lives for order-in food and service at the press of a button, this is not your place to visit. But if you like to left alone and do things at your own pace, then a visit to Baahor Ghar is worth the trip. Also, The place is close (5min ride) to the eastern range of Kaziranga which is great for an evening safari ride. However the elephant safari starts at Bagori which is a 30 min ride away. So plan accordingly.

Just had a wonderful stay! Hosting staff were very welcoming and responded to every request. Overall stay was amazing and totally value for money. The entrance path is a little narrow but there shouldn't be any problem for most of SUVs as I myself had parked a harrier inside, if the driver isn't experienced or willing the hosts are always ready to help you with the same, without any headaches. Breakfast was well served healthy as per requests made. Highly recommend this property to anyone visiting kaziranga, you'll certainly enjoy your stay regardless of whoever you are travelling with, or you can always checkin solo.
