Location is in a quiet area in the streets of Negombo, but not too far. We had a vehicle so didn't need to walk. Hosts greeted us with drinks on arrival and were very friendly. Room was clean and tidy and the hosts also made some arrangements that we asked for even though we stayed only a single night. Good bathroom facilities, shower had good pressure and hot water.

Mr. Chamidu, the manager, showed us around the property. He did everything possible to make our stay enjoyable under difficult conditions, being stranded due to the Middle East crisis. We were given a beautiful room at no extra cost. We were very well cared for. The lady owner runs a fabulous craft workshop to offer young women from the village, livelihood opportunities.

Run by a local family, Villa Shade is a charming and peaceful property surrounded by green gardens, just 2.5 mi from Negombo City.

I stayed here for one night before my flight, which was perfect. Just a short 15 minutes from the airport, but in a quiet area which was just what I needed. The bed was comfortable, the room was spacious and simple and had AC. The hospitality and care from the woman running the space was amazing, I felt immediately taken care of. I had fried rice for dinner, and she packaged up the leftover for me to take to the airport for breakfast. I also took a walk around the neighborhood and it was one of the most gorgeous walks out of my four months in Sri Lanka. Thank you again!
