Even though the pool wasn’t in opposition we had a great time. It is very bespoke in the restaurant offering raclette which my children didn’t like the smell as it’s very overpowering. But if you’re not with kids I’m sure it’s most enjoyable! I missed out.

The Mercure Chartres Est is located 10 minutes from Chartres City Center, south-west of Paris. The hotel is a 10-minute drive from Chartres train station and offers free parking and free Wi-Fi.

This is a boutique hotel with a warm family atmosphere. Our spacious suite was on the Cathedral square with an excellent view from our window. It was a wonderful combination of an older building with medieval cellars refurbished with a modern bedroom and bath. The bed was super comfortable and everything was clean and well-kept. The breakfast was good and served at 8 am sharp. If you want to experience Chartres we highly recommend Le Parvis.
