We always love staying at this hotel. So convenient for Newmarket racecourse and the use of the health club is an added bonus. The staff are friendly and helpful and the rooms are spotless with cosy comfortable beds.. Beautiful hotel and lovely surrounds. Food was great, particularly the breakfast. Perfect for those looking for a relaxing/peaceful getaway. Would recommend visiting Thetford Forest nearby.

Cheerful welcome by Manager who showed me to my room. Professional and courteous staff, large comfortable clean room, decorated on theme of local coastal village, Thorpeness. Loved the yachts on some of the furnishings. Delicious, well presented dinner and breakfast. Highly recommend.

Midway between Southwold and Aldeburgh, this modernized, rustic inn has an excellent restaurant and refurbished, stylish rooms. It is an ideal base for exploring the Suffolk Heritage Coast.

The hotel was lovely and airy, Our room was big and light overlooking the quiet gardens. The bed was comfortable and the sheets were beautiful Egyption cotton. The staff were kind and generous with their smiles, and when my husband was taken isuddenly ill ( underlying condition) the memagement did everything possible to make him comfortable. My most ardent compliments go to the chef. There was no main course vegan option on the menu, but every night the chef cooked me something nutritious and delicious. It was some of the best food i have ever tasted.
