The room was decorated to perfection with lots of charm and character, and plenty of space to spread out. My son loved swinging on the hammock in the middle of the room. The pool was just a few steps from our room and a beautiful little oasis surrounded by flowering trees. Breakfast was delicious and included local honey.

This hacienda-style hotel is located on Playa del Carmen's Fifth Avenue, one block from the beach. The hotel offers free Wi-Fi in every guest room.

This was my 4th visit to Hotel Lunata in Playa del Carmen since 2002. On the surface, very little has changed over the years. In this case, that is a very good thing! Of course there has been some modernization in that time, such as very good WiFi for each room, however the warm and inviting room design, the friendly staff and the overall impression the hotel leaves have all not changed. We again had a very pleasant visit and were sad to leave. The breakfast is very basic with some cereals, tea, coffee and toast. It’s enough to get you going into the day, but it’s not a feast and is not the main focus of this boutique hotel. It is self-service in the Lunata natural garden, just like it was in 2002. We brought some fruits from the market and the staff offered to peel and cut the fruit for us. Fantastic service.

Absolutely beautiful!! Friendly staff and it was nice to have the ability to come and go independently but also have a secure place. Room was very spacious and comfortable and culturally decorated.

This place was truly elegant.It had a private reserve with a private pool, away from the antics of spring breakers. The food was okay in the restaurants. There was a particularly good private for reserve.Only restaurant that served lunch and breakfast.That was outstanding. They keep the property perfectly.

Traditional Spanish decor. Comfortable bed. Great location. Very QUIET side street at night. No Discos near by!!!! 1 block from ADO bus. We arrived at10 pm with a late flight from US. Took ADO for $12.each. Staff was there and able to check us in. Great security with staff manning gated entrance all night.

Great location, rooms are spacious., staff is friendly and professional. The pool is clean. Excellent buffet breakfast. We had an excellent experience with the hydrotherapy circuit, Alexandra did a great job! I definitely recommend this hotel

The staff was amazing, very warm and flexible. The bed huge and comfortable. The location was excellent. A nice cozy hotel. No noise, you can sleep but still close to the 5th avenue.
