Everything was new and functional. The private onsens were great, easy to coordinate with a great availability system. Breakfast was great with lots of options, both Japanese and Western.

Great onsen spa and amenities (crystal clear water, tile covered “lounge chairs” in the water, shaving supplies and ice cream for afterwards). Cold plunge pools and a sauna in addition to outdoor and indoor hot pools. Free ramen after 9pm that made for a tasty meal. Also great small restaurants across the street and down a short block. Great value, nice and helpful staff. We have visited 6 onsen hotels on this trip. This was the least traditional as we did not have to remove shoes when entering our room but overall this was the best!!
