Our first chalet experience so we didn't have high expectations. Everything was what we expected, the staff members were nice and very happy to help us with our requests (we had a dog and checked in late)

We had an amazing stay in this traditional Swiss chalet! Our room was clean, cozy, and very comfortable, with a big balcony offering breathtaking mountain views—a perfect spot to relax and take in the scenery. The staff was very kind and helpful, making us feel welcome from the start. Breakfast was a true delight, served buffet-style with a delicious variety of options. Enjoying our coffees & the delicious breakfast with such a stunning view made it even more special. The room was warm, cozy and well-maintained, providing a perfect retreat after a day in the mountains. Small but clean bathrooms with really hot shower! Free parking included. Just a short walk through the village to the cable car (you’ll get discount with the hotel card) and to the recommended by the Staff very good restaurant! 👍 Thank you! 🙏 Highly recommended for anyone looking for a peaceful and authentic Alpine experience!

True location was spectacular, the start were very kind, nice homes directly from the hotel.

We stayed in the amazing loft which a steam bath and hot tub which can be rolled outside. Everything was lovely about our stay!

The staff is friendly and is very good at English and French which is helpful for foreigners. The hostel in general is a very good value.

Very special experience, unforgettable very helpful staff, who was at the front desk and help us happily all the way during our stay. Highly recommended.

Very comfortable and spacious apartment with a nice modern kitchen that is well supplied with dishes and cookware. Excellent location in town. Laundry available on the ground floor for a few Francs. A very nice place to stay for a family or anyone travelers that need two bedrooms.

Very clean chalet, nice view and easy to check in and out. Will repeat again.

The location is perfect—quiet, scenic, and just a short walk from the village center, train station, and nearby hiking trails. The apartment was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. It really felt like a home away from home. The vintage charm of the house adds a special character, and we loved the peaceful atmosphere and stunning mountain views. Our kids especially enjoyed the stay—they had plenty of space to play and loved exploring the surroundings. Our host was kind, responsive, and made sure we felt welcome from the moment we arrived. Highly recommended for families or anyone visiting Kandersteg and looking for an authentic, cozy experience in the Swiss Alps. We’d definitely love to come back!

Very nice property, clean,very nice view and Spacious

The hotel gave me a complementary room upgrade to suite, it was a bit surprising and I surly enjoyed a windup time there!

They had us at the entrance with their genuine, friendly smiles. The atmosphere is really cozy, and they pay attention to all the details. The afternoon snack is a lovely gesture. The view is astonishing from the pool, the restaurant, and the balcony, too. Best location ever. Our servers, Anette and Laszlo, were amazing! Everybody was helpful, sometimes even without our asking. Portions of food are more than sufficient and really tasty. Our dog loved the plush blanket!

Simply fabulous!! We arrived wet and tired after a long day's walk to be greeted by the wonderful Brigitte...so welcoming and couldn't do enough to help. As a trailer was blocking the view from our booked room we were generously given an upgrade to a 2 bed apartment. It was fabulous...clean, bright, modern with all sorts of thoughtful extras. The rest of the hotel followed suit !! Beautiful dining room and terrace with superb mountain views. Buffet style breakfast had a wonderful selection, beautiful breads and simply delicious. A fabulous modern style spa complex, always plenty of room. It also includes a free chairlift and bus pass which was a real bonus for our walking. It's also an easy walk into town if you can bear to leave the lovely hotel !!

An unbeatably beautiful and quiet location. The room with breathtaking view on the lake. A large choice of delicious menu items served at the table on the terrasse. Very friendly hosts.

I have stayed 3 nights in September 2024. Looking at the past reviews, there were complaints about noise and staff. My bed was great. Yes, the floor was a bit squeaky and there is indeed road nearby but this can be easily fixed with earplugs. Washroom very small but does the job. Shower is amazing! Host was great. I told her I would be leaving earlier to go mountains and she had packed up my breakfast in the fridge. Very friendly Food was simple but high quality Location is great Oeschinnen lake gondola is just minutes away, and so is train ferry to Valais. As a bonus, you can sit and enjoy work of speed camera across a street, hehe :)

Location, staff, food, room, and facilities were SUPERB! Will definitely revisit this area and stay in this lovely hotel. Best food on our trip!

Location was very convenient, rooms and beds clean and comfortable. The view to the valley is breathtaking.
